Phillippi Estate Park in Sarasota is an outstanding destination that offers a variety of activities and beautiful sights for visitors. One of the standout features of the park is its fishing docks, which provide a tranquil setting for anglers to cast their lines and relax by the water. The well-maintained docks are perfect for a peaceful day of fishing in the serene waters of Phillippi Creek.

For kayaking enthusiasts, the park has a convenient kayak launch area that allows paddlers to explore the winding waterways of Phillippi Creek. Kayaking here offers the opportunity to get up close with the local wildlife and enjoy the lush surroundings. It's an ideal spot for both seasoned kayakers and beginners looking to enjoy a paddling adventure.

The park also features an extensive network of walking trails, which wind through its picturesque grounds. These trails are great for a leisurely stroll or a more energetic hike, offering visitors the chance to take in the natural beauty of the area. As you walk along the trails, you'll be treated to scenic views of the creek and the diverse flora and fauna that call the park home.

A visit to Phillippi Estate Park wouldn't be complete without seeing the historic Edson Keith Mansion. This beautiful example of Italian Renaissance architecture dates back to the early 20th century and adds a touch of history to the park. The mansion is a popular venue for weddings and special events, and guided tours are available for those interested in learning more about its history and significance.

In addition to its natural and historic attractions, the park hosts a vibrant farmers market every Wednesday during the fall, winter, and spring months. The market is a lively event where visitors can browse fresh produce, handmade goods, and artisanal products. It's a great way to support local farmers and vendors while enjoying the community atmosphere.

Another highlight of Phillippi Estate Park is the opportunity to watch dolphins hunting for food in the waters of Phillippi Creek. This unique experience adds to the park's charm and makes it a special place for wildlife enthusiasts.

Phillippi Estate Park also offers plenty of amenities for visitors, including clean and well-ventilated bathrooms and ample parking. Although parking can sometimes be challenging during peak times, the park's spacious grounds provide plenty of room for everyone to enjoy their visit.

Overall, Phillippi Estate Park is a wonderful destination for anyone looking to enjoy the best of Sarasota's natural beauty, outdoor activities, and historic charm. Whether you're fishing, kayaking, walking the trails, or exploring the historic mansion, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The farmers market adds a vibrant touch to the park, and the chance to see dolphins in their natural habitat makes it even more special. If you're in the area, Phillippi Estate Park is a must-visit destination that offers a perfect blend of nature, history,...

I've been living in the neighbourhood for nearly 19 years, and the park has always been a treat. However, it was very saddening to see the canopy of trees over the shortcut being torn down. It was one of my favourite parts and now it's gone. I appreciate the efforts to replace it with flower bushes, but it's not the same. I'm also worried about the bee colony on the trail that doesn't seem to be active anymore (bees are important, and those ladies work hard). There's also a lack of maintenance that I feel needs to be addressed, such as caring for the flora, the rose garden, and the gazebo next to the Edson Keith Estate. I had found shards of glass from beer bottles near my favourite bench on the trail. Other than that, this place is great for birthday parties, weddings, game nights, and learning about wildlife. I love taking my littles sister and my friends here, and show them what...

Oh my God! This place is incredible! Looks so small for the first time but.... there is so much to do: walking, running, kayaking, paddle boarding, riding a bike and more! Beautiful kids playground! There are couple piers for fishing , my husband enjoys fishing right there, from the pier! My favorite thing to do there- kayaking and paddle boarding. They made such an easy kayaking lunch area . we lunch kayaks/paddle boards on the water and go to the right - inlet - under the bridges, passing the restaurant and ... it’s so calm and beautiful, like a whole different beautiful world! So peaceful! The water just like a mirror! And of course, every Wednesday we come here for the Farmer’s market for all fresh food, fruits and...
