Counter sales was very helpful and they had everything in stock. There is a difference in the material quality you get here verses the big box stores. Just know they are an electrical SUPPLY company. Not electrical service company or inspector. What I mean is they will provide you what you ask for. You really need to know what you need for your particular electrical job or project. I am speaking to the non qualified electricians, or average home owners. Lots of us can do basic electrical work at home. They may make a suggestion but understand it puts them in a bad situation if they tell you what to use based on what you tell them and it doesn't work out. So just be sure of what you need and if your not sure get the advise of a local qualified electrician. You may then just decide to hire the electrician. Just some helpful advice. I went to Mathes this under the recommendation of a local resident. I was in guided through a limited selection of lights to place in my kitchen above the island. I purchased what was recommended to me. When I got back to my condominium, the electrician told me that those could not be installed because they would be offset. When I attempted to return the light fixture to this company, they charged a 25% restocking fee for an item that I've only had in my possession for less than 24 hours. It would be different if I just didn't like the style. Because I couldn't even install these lights I don't see the justification for charging...
