I love their golden fried chicken. Every place that fry chicken I take notice of to compare the look and what batter is used. Some places fry their chicken too long and the chicken gets dried out, hard, and dark. Not a golden brown. It seems that Popeye has a light breading that does not get that burned look or that over- coated, twice dipped look. I think, for now, that Popeye will be my place to go for fried chicken. Also, Popeye has a reward points system that I found did not work! I thought they purposely did not let the system accept the Rewards code in order to defraud me. I was determined to get my points recorded on my first visit to Popeye. So, I read the receipt, went on their website, and found a telephone number to call for help. That phone number for help, support, customer service is: 1-877-767-3937. The problem was: I would input the Rewards Code correctly and their system would continually say that the Reward Code was not correct. That was very frustrating. The young lady at Customer Service had me text or email a photo of my Popeye receipt with the Reward Code. She could see that the Reward Code was correct. She input the code and said the points are now on my account. Why would their system say the code was incorrect when it was correct? She could not or would not answer. Maybe the system tells everyone that their code is incorrect because Popeye really does not want to honor the reward code system and had the system programmed to say the codes are incorrect. That way, Popeye does not have to honor reward codes not entered for a reward. Makes sense to me. If you encountered this type of response to entering correctly a code and the system kept saying the code is incorrect, then respond here. Before all that, I had to create an account at the Popeye app. The Reward Points help reduce your bill the next visit to purchase at Popeye. Also, keep your receipt because there are rewards on the back of the receipt! Mine say "Enjoy two pieces of chicken and a biscuit FREE with the purchase of a large drink". You have to scan a bar code and get a validation code. Remember to enter the validation code on the back of the receipt. This can be done online or on the Popeye app. Hope you get to try Popeye...
Read moreI placed an order that was supposed to be ready at 6:10 pm. I arrived at the restaurant at 6:10. I was asked to pull around. I waited behind 2 other vehicles to get to the window and was asked to pull off to the side. I did as instructed and 15 mins later, I still did not have my food. I called the restaurant and they answered the phone KFC. I asked where? They again said KFC. Said sorry and hung up. I called the number again and another voice answered and said KFC (apparently this is some kind of joke for them.) I asked is this Popeyes?! She said yes this is Popeyes. I told her how long I’d been waiting and she said, “She’s about to bring it out now.” 4 mins later I watched this young woman shuffle out the door. Half way to my car, she turns around and shuffles over to the drive thru window squeezing herself between the wall and the car parked there because she realized that she had forgot my drink. She then shuffles even slower back to my vehicle. She handed me my food and never said a word. Not thank you, not sorry for your wait. Nothing. So when Popeyes is the next fast food restaurant to go out of business, they should thank employees like her because she’s definitely taught me to take my business elsewhere. I ended up throwing away the food because, quite frankly, I don’t trust that they didn’t do something to my food. Waste of $30 and 45...
Read moreWe love popeyes as we grew up eating their chicken. But to help the public, I strongly advise you to check your order prior to leaving the parking lot ...EVERY TIME. CHECK THE ORDER EVEN IF U ORDER THE SAME THING 3X A WEEK. ALSO, EVEN THOUGH THEY CLOSE AT 10 DURING NORMAL NON- CHAOTIC TIMES, THIS DOES NOT MEAN ANYTHING. IF YOU GO AFTER 9, EXPECT THEM TO SAY THEY DONT HAVE WHAT YOU WANT AS THEY DONT HAVE IT COOKED, HAVE CLEANED THEIR KITCHEN SO THEY DO NOT WANT TO MAKE A MESS BY SERVING THEIR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY WANT DURING STILL OPEN/ OPERATING HOURS. ALSO, IF YOU SEE THEIR FOOD TRUCK BLOCKING THE DRIVE THOUGH AT 9:15, DO NOT BOTHER TRYING TO ORDER ON THE INSIDE AS THE DOOR WILL BE LOCKED. YES LOCKED. IT HAS HAPPENED TO US TWICE. ALSO, NO ONE WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN DRIVE TO JUST PULL TO THE WINDOW EVEN THOUGH SEVERAL EMPLOYEES SEE YOU WAITING. ITS EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF. I SAW SOMEONE ELSE PASS ME AND GO TO THE WINDOW AFTER WAITING 20 MIN. APPARENTLY HERE IN ALABAMA THIS IS COMMON PRACTICE FOR A LOT OF PLACES LIKE FIREHOUSE SUBS AND EVEN THE DOLLAR GENERAL. THEY LOCK THE DOOR SOMETIMES WELL BEFORE THEY SHOULD...AND WHEN YOU GO TO GET YOUR TO GO ORDER. THEY WILL AVOID LOOKING AT YOU LIKE THE PLAGUE.. (Firehouse Subs by Sallys did this before closing) hard work and integrity isnt found in this state in...
