Peng Garden Chinese BUFFET Restaurant — Restaurant in Foley

I frequent this location once or twice a month with no problem until tonight. I simply asked the older lady at checkout for a container for soup which she said there will be an additional $2.95 or $3.95 charge. I advised the older lady that they always give me a container for soup and she preceeded to advise me that I have to put the soup in my togo container which was UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

At that time, I TOLD HER THAT I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS PLACE AND I WILL POST MY EXPERIENCE ON GOOGLE WHICH IS WHEN SHE TOLD ME THAT THEY STOP GIVING OUT CONTAINERS 1 YEAR AGO WHICH IS A LIE!!!! I TOLD HER THAT I WAS THERE A FEW WEEKS AGO AND GOT A CONTAINER FOR SOUP. I ASKED THE OLDER LADY IF SHE WAS THE OWNER OR THE MANAGER?! CRICKETS...MANAGER/OWNER???

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WE (TAKE OUT CUSTOMERS) ARE SAVING YOU MONEY AND A SMALL CONTAINER OF SOUP COULD'VE SAVED YOU CUSTOMERS.

My family and I walked in last night (Friday) to enjoy dinner before my children went to visit family for the summer. I had already had a bad day and was emotional about sending my babies off. We were laughing and talking. We had just sat down. The table adjacent to ours was one of 4 men. They were staring at us and then the server at their table looked at us and shook her head like "pitiful". I immediately had everyone get up and leave. My babies were crying because that's where they really wanted to eat. The sad part is that my husband and I both come from food service backgrounds so we would have taken care of her. But her attitude was clear when we sat down. We are a mixed family so I'm afraid it may have been a race issue. .................. We went to Jade Garden, 5 minutes down the road. I normally don't choose this as an option and today reminded me why I always prefer to go elsewhere. Everything I put on my plate was cold when I got back to the table. I spent zero time making my choices as there wasn't much I was interested in on the buffet. There should of been no reason my food was cold. My person that was with me chose different things that she wanted to eat and all of her food was cold as well. She told the server our food was cold she didn't respond and walked away. We did tell the cashier our food was ALL cold and it wasn't good at all. She offered a discount on our ticket which was just over $3 off. Definitely the very last time I will ever eat there.
