I found this place online. It looked friendly and inviting for children. I scheduled my boys (3&6) for the same day back to back. The first appointment was at 12 and the second at 12:30. First the parking was packed cars parked in no parking zones right in front. Walking in was a shock !!! EVERY SEAT had someone in it!!!! The play area that looked so great in the picture was over crowded, I was stepping over children just to check-in. When I asked how long the wait would be the receptionist could not give me an answer just that" there are two dentist and it should go fast." It was very awkward no room to sit and standing my husband and myself plus 2 kids were in the way. First appt was at 12. It was 12 10 and I decided to ask for paper work since we were new at facility. 1 seat freed up so I sat to fill the paper work out only to realize the seat I had taken was a foot stretch from the ladies restroom and I'm short so it's not that far. We were finally seen for the first appt at 1, while people who arrived after us were being seen before us. We enter the next room and it's ONE BIG ROOM all seats are right next to each other! XRAYS AND ALL! ABSOLUTELY NO PRIVACY ! ALL INFORMATION DISPLYED AND THE COMPUTER SCREEN FOR EVERY ONE TO SEE! My 3 year sat in the chair and started to look around and seeing kids older (12 , 13 ) being worked on and started to freak out. When the dentist came he was there for 2 mins. Next was a cleaning. I was called over to sign papers while my son thinks I left and started to get scared. The lady that was about to clean called it quits because my son was going to cry!! What did you expect! I was called over to sign papers and he thinks I left. I told her no let me call my husband he will sit with him and be fine! They were in so much of a hurry that if your kid sneezed they were done! Now the next thing , the papers they called me over to sign, were the little signature pad while some explains in two sentences what you are signing but you do not see what you are signing . I have no idea why the are have me sign stuff for future visit. They were going to put caps in my son's permanent teeth to prevent and cavity from forming I declined. My older son was next he was a bit more brave same lady cleaned his teeth and again more signature s I asked why I was signing all this and was told that the receptionist would give me print out and explain. I went back to watch my son's cleaning. My 6 year was next The suction hose kept falling and touching the chair that had no cover and only been wiped. A 6 year old kept having to ask for the suction hose because he was gagging from the cleaning. When she was done she lifted his tray so I helped him up and she began cleaning I stood there awkward not sure what was next, until some one asked if I needed something I told her I wasn't sure if that was it. She asked the dental assistant and she said yes. Not one of my boys were offered toys like they seen all the other kids get. I returned to the waiting room, I asked about the paper work for what I had signed and they had no idea what I was talking about. I waited 15 mins to get the papers and was still waiting for a return appointment. I told her we were leaving and I would call for a follow up. But not returning. Please save yourself the time and hassle read the reviews. I went simply for my boys to have a fun dental experience and it was worse. I'm sorry children's dental this was just a horrible visit. I was here from 11:50 to 2:15 for just a cleaning. something did not feel right with all the stuff the dentist was requesting for the next visit as far as laughing gas sedatives for nerves. How about trying to make the visit more pleasant and the children won't be...
Read moreI made an appointment for my special needs child a week ahead. I had an appointment at 1pm on a Saturday. I get there at 12:30pm in case thereâs anything else I had to fill out even though I did all the forms online. I go inside and it is so crowded that there Is literally no place to sit or even stand. Iâve never seen a place so crowded. They then tell me that they are running behind about 30-40 minutes. My child has autism, adhd, and other conditions so I was very concerned because my child doesnât do very well just sitting down. The person helping me offered to give me a call when they were ready for us but to stay near by instead. Itâs a shopping center so we go walk around and they call me at 1:50pm saying they are ready for us. I said we will be there in 8 minutes as we were at a store near by paying for a water bottle. Yet they said we had to wait in the car or outside the door and that they would be rescheduling our appointment and will not wait for us to be seen. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they hanged up on me. I called again and they left me on hold and closed the office at 2pm but my call was never answered. I Can not believe how this place has treated us. I had high expectations for this place and we were very exited to be seen here for the first time for my childâs first Dentist visit. I am very disappointed. I will be calling our insurance and moving forward with this complaint. I took the day off work to take my child to this appointment and wasnât seen after all. I work 2 jobs to support my child with special needs and get no help from the government program what so ever. This is the treatment we get for being hard working and great parents. People really have no idea what we go through to keep up with all these appointments for our kids then they have the audacity to do this. I will make sure to tell all my friends and family to never take their kids here. Horrible service, I also work in the medical field and know how to treat patients. This was unacceptable. Unfortunately, I will look for a more professional...
Read moreI love that they the Fontana facility is open on Saturdays. My kid received very good care with plenty of patience. There was plenty of staff working and dressed similarly which makes them look professional and organized.
The reasons they didn't get a 5 is because I'm comparison to the Ontario facility this location is not as kid friendly, the aquarium is smaller, there's no space for the kids to play while waiting, and the tablets available for the kids were not working
A huge incentive and part of the experience for my kids had always been to receive a toy at the end of the visit. Even if it was a small toy, it made the kids happy and would be a fun experience for them each time. It may seem like something small, but for kids this is huge. They build memories. They associate the location and dentist positively and are eager to return. This was very disappointing for my daughter and me as a parent. The extra things that they do is what differentiates them from a general dentist. Although it was generally a good experience, it took the fun part out the "funzone".
Finally, they only gave all clients a toothbrush.... That's it....no mini tooth paste...no mini floss....
Better than nothing I guess. But when it has been standard practice for all dentists pediatric or not to provide a free sample baggie with at least those three items....to me that looks pretty bad.
Yes my daughter got her teeth cleaned and the process was simple. They met basic expectations. I always used to rate them a 5 prepandemic because they did all the extra incentives for the kids.
I have a 4 year old kid I'm taking next week. If I see a similar pattern, I might go back to the Ontario facility or search for a pediatric dentist that offers the full FUN experience for the kids. I hope they read the messages and adjust. I hope they choose to take this as constructive to...
