IHOP — Restaurant in Fontana

I haven’t been to ihop Since before the pandemic hit and when I say that the service was very lacking it wasn’t Because it was understaffed I had several waiters and waitresses come to my table yet no one could communicate my order, the original waiter we had didn’t come by until 15 mins after we sat down no silverware was given, he took our order then went off to talk to another staff member only to return and ask what we had ordered because he forgot. I had had enough of waiting so we got up and walked to the cashier to receive my bill where I was then explained to that I had ordered off the breakfast menu for a lunch item so our bill was higher as it didn’t fall into the “special” category mind you it is 12pm at this point . Had I have known that I would’ve have ordered. There’s no communication nor is there any feel of we want you to eat here. Very disappointed because I remember always choosing ihop over any other breakfast spot I seriously doubt we’ll be back. I work in the service industry and I know it’s tough but get...

Horrible atmosphere as we came around 7pm. There were literally 4 tables occupied and our server took 37 mins in order to get our food served to us. It was not her fault as see was the only server staffed at this time. They were under staffed due to management not properly scheduling as well as allowing a junkie to stay in the men's bathroom for over 20 mins and still didn't contact local authorities. How can you operate such a business with one server and you as the manager not assist. We didn't see the manager at any table assisting the waitress. Sad and disturbed. Never again going to this IHOP. And just found out we saw no manager because no manager was on present at all. The bus guy brought our drinks. No manager at the store at all is a no go. Definitely will never recommend this place to anyone and management should be fired for allowing this. Definitely appreciate our waitress and bus guy as they tried...

The kitchen did great, food was good and came out quickly. The hostess, bus boy and cashier were nice, that's the reason I am giving a generous 2. Unfortunately, the service was not as good. My server Rogelio was not polite and he also forgot our drinks. I've worked in the restaurants & in customer service, so I am clear and polite. I thanked him after placing my order and when he brought things to the table. He didn't say your welcome or thank me once. When I reminded him of my drinks, he brought them but didn't apologize. He did not check on us at anytime of our visit. I expect more from a server. I regret this visit and should have gone to a fast food restaurant, saved the money and received the same or better service.
