Ann Herman Park is located in the Chula Vista Isles neighborhood in Ft. Lauderdale. It was built in 2009 with financial assistance from Broward County Board of County Commissioners through the Safe Parks and Land Preservation Bond Program. According to a plaque in the park, it was named in honor of Ann Herman (1940-1985). She was a mother who raised her children in the neighborhood and gave love to all of the children in the community. The plaque says "May the park represent love, family values, and be a healthy play environment for many years to come."
Although this is a small park, it is packed with great amenities. There is a large fish shaped bicycle rack, a drinking fountain, grills, picnic pavilion, exercise path with equipment, canal where you can fish, and a playground.
