Ok I'm going to give this place 4 stars. I have an issue with their billing and introductory offer. It says get your first month for a dollar and then the price of the membership is 24 whatever monthly. And then there is a 50 something dollar annual membership. So my $1 membership ended after 2 weeks because I got my first monthly bill of $24 and then one week later I got the bill for the annual fee. It ended up within 32 days of signing up I had been charged $82 and some change. So that seems to be a little slight of hand in my look. Now to the gym. I absolutely love the selection of equipment! You can probably find multiple pieces to train each body part. Note, I'm not a souped up bro science bodybuilder shooting for Mr Olympia. I just go to the gym as consistently as I can which ends up being between two and five times a week generally. I drive from Greenwood so that helps give me an excuse not to go lol. Anyways back to the gym. The equipment seems to be fairly clean most of the time, I'm not a germophobe so I don't really have any issues there. If you are a germaphobe, sometimes you'll be able to see residual sweaty grease buildup on a couple of the machines. They have lockers to store your stuff, if you have a lock or you want to purchase one that option is available. The lockers are kind of small I would say they're about one cubic foot maybe a little deeper than one foot but the opening is around 12 in by 12 in. I know a lot of people comment on the atmosphere or vibe in regards to how other gym goers appear to be functioning/interacting/behaving But I don't honestly believe that is something the gym is going to be in full control of. The people in the gym the times that I have been there seem to be minding their own business for the most part, mostly have earbuds in and seem to be behaving in a fashion acceptable for public. We'll leave it at that. They do offer the hydro massage bed with heated water massaging your body, they have tanning beds which I have not experienced because I'm not into the UVA and UVB raise promoting skin cancer like I used to be, they have massage chairs and they have a stand up red light therapy machine which is one of the main reasons I joined. All of this is included with a blackcard membership and you can bring one guest for free every single time you come. One thing I will say about the machine placement, they have a couple of the chest press machines that are sat opposite each other but facing each other. So basically you get to awkwardly look into someone's soul as they try to push themselves, while you're doing the same... And I do say awkward because I am an introvert and as much as I would absolutely love to be outgoing an extroverted, it just doesn't seem to be my strong suit. There are people of all shapes and sizes, and so far all the interactions that I've had with people have been pleasant. Okay with all of this information I hope you are able to make a pretty informed decision. Sorry I don't have a lot of pictures of this place but they have plenty on...
Read moreI caveat this review with this location is wrapping up a remodel. The hours are not up to date on Google. Minus one star. There was a sign saying closed for remodel. Door was unlocked. I walked in and immediately announced myself to the nearest employee leaning on the far counter of the greeting area. He quickly came over. I stated that I saw the sign and the door was unlocked and I came in to see if I could go to the bathroom. He said he needed to check with his manager. She had been on some sort of a treadmill and was already heading our way. I offered to sign a waiver against trip and fall if there was unstable footing. She said no somewhat emphatically. I asked if the water was off. No answer. I repeated,I just need to go to the bathroom. No again. I said you should have updated the location hours on Google. She replies, " you were sent two emails." I replied, I'm from out of town and specifically came here because the status was open 24 hours and I'm on a long drive and wanted a massage and to use the bathroom. She replied absolutely not. So then she tried to explain it away and said I was welcome to leave. I said again, I only need the bathroom. She offered that McDonald's, which was 100 yds away, they would let me use the bathroom. Yeah! And so does Burger King and most other places. She then said, you need to leave. I said "ok" sarcastically and headed to the door while she followed. As I heard her loudly locking the door I put a thumbs up as I am sure she was making sure I left... Minus two stars... I have never had such a negative vibe from any PF employee in my trip through 12 states and many PFs. Totally disappointed...

Read moreAbsolutely, horrible experience. After traveling to 25 different Planet Fitnesses, this is positively the most 'Judg(Mental)' service business I had ever seen. First, there was NO toilet paper in ANY stall in the locker room when extra large rolls are used. Then I witnessed a man with a thick gold chain and wearing tight blue jeans teaching a class of about 7 in the area reserved expressly for those doing the 30 minute fitness express. Then I witnessed a man fighting with his girlfriend. As she left him, he cornered her in the Stretching section. She tried to leave again.
As I signed up for the Total Body Enhancement I was told I must wear protective glasses. Knowing this emits ONLY healthy Vitamin D generating Infrared light, I informed the large counter worker that I refused to wear the bogus ultraviolet protection made for their unhealthy tanning booths. Inside the booth were several bold signs warning of ultraviolet radiation. I expressed my displeasure at the deceit of the management. The worker walked away and routed me to the evening manager. He proceeded to accuse, insult and mock me non stop until the large thug behind the counter came back with his 2 buddies referred above. The gold chain guy acted like a drug lord and demanded I leave and said Planet Fitness paid him as a trainor. Everything I said is on the security cameras as is every response by management.
PS: Apparently, I am not the first poster to recently complain about no toilet paper. Sort by lowest rating and check the owners apology only 6 months ago.
How can a work get completed without finishing the paperwork? Multiple people need...
