An excellent park!! This park has a paved, partly sunny and partly shaded walking/running path which winds through various parts of the park and is visually entertaining. There is a 18? hole disc golf course, 3 tennis courts, a hitting wall, several small pavilions/picnic table areas, and a bathroom located within the park. Each time I go, I see a variety of people who seem to be friendly, and always a few friendly pets. The playground has several really cool, fun non-traditional pieces, which even I as a 44 yo enjoyed! My son (14) and I enjoyed a lot! You will want to park near the area you want to visit (ie..tennis courts vs. pavilion/playground area) unless you want to take a short walk along the paved path to get to the other area(s). I love the parking under the trees over by the...

Ferry park has a small picnic area and the occasional plastic bench for resting scattered about but it is not apark for lingering back to nature contemplation. Ferry Park is for being active in a natural environment. There are multiple tennis courts and one basketball court. They are often used but rarely have people waiting to get on. The one mile walking, jogging, dog strolling cement path is well maintained. The soccer field is open for multiple use when matches aren't happening. The pleasant surprise for me is that the disc golf course is seldom without players. The target layout utilizes the space available well without being overly convoluted nor frustratingly difficult. Investing an hour or two in activity at Ferry Park makes a pleasant day...

Park has nice tennis courts, handball court, basketball court and nice large mult-purpose sotoccer, football field. And for those who like disc golf, you have a large circuit. They just finished a nee pickle ball area between soccer fields & tennis courts. 5 courts. Really nice. Could use a couple more benches or picnic tables close. Also a new fitness station next to main parking lot near playground & basketball court. Really nice. Now if we could get some additional lighting for the basketball courts & fitness station and about 4 key locations along the fitness trail. Also, the parking lot could use a major overhaul & upgraded drainage would really put a finishing...

Ferry Park is a multi-use park maintained by the City of Fort Walton Beach located just east of Uptown Station. Amenities included within the park include tennis courts, an exercise path that winds through the park, picnic areas as well as an 18 "hole" disc golf course that offers a challenge for all skill levels. Ferry Park is also the home of multiple ball fields which host municipal, youth t-ball and soccer leagues for kids ages 6 and up. If you get tired walking, keep an eye out for Bird electric scooters that are almost always available throughout the park.

Great park for smaller kids, elementary or younger and particularly wonderful for parents as there are two small pavilions right next to the playground equipment, but best of all the equipment is in the shade (in the morning at least). There is also a nice little walking trail with a couple of small bridges for kids to look at the "wildlife." The walking trails are not super shaded which makes it tough when it's super hot. Overall though a wonderful little park that the wife and I love coming to when we're back home visiting family!

I wish we had had more time to explore this park, because the little bit we saw seemed awesome!! It looks like there is something for everyone. Wide open soccer fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, walking paths, a creek with turtles and other animals, a very unique playground, disc golf, etc! There were paintings on the walking paths that encouraged play (jumping on the dots, etc). Just overall a beautiful, well planned out park. We will be back!
