I was in the store Thursday to pick up a couple of things. I'm disabled and use a cane to walk. I was in line with 2-3 other ladies for several minutes while one girl was working the register. The elderly lady in front of me asked if one of the 3 employees standing around talking could open a register to help us since we had been standing there for quite a while.
One girl, Raven, looked at the elderly lady in front of me and SNEERINGLY said, "Well, we're working at a 1/7 ratio (what ever that means) today, but sure, I'll come open a register JUST for you, friend."
Her entire manner of speaking and body language were condescending, rude, and completely at odds with her words.
The lady she was speaking to was not happy with being sneered at by Raven and asked for a manager. Lily, the manager came over and sent Raven away and helped the elderly lady herself. Lily, the manager, tried to excuse Raven's unprofessional behavior by telling us that Raven had been working something like 8 days in a row, that they were very understaffed, she was just tired and stressed from working so much, and that apparently Raven and the other 2 employees were supervisors and that they weren't supposed to be ringing up people, which makes absolutely no sense. The elderly lady asked that the DM contact her because Raven's behavior was unacceptable, and she didn't believe Lily when she said managers can't ring people up, and because it was obvious Lily thought Raven was justified in her rudeness. I too, asked for the DM's number because I'm tired of shopping in a store that made record profits last year, but that won't pay enough to attract and keep employees. I have not heard back from the DM, and frankly, I doubt I will.
EDIT: It's been a week and still no connect from the DM. It sounds like she is as bad at her job as her subordinates. No wonder the quality of this store has dropped so far. Notice how few bad reviews have been addressed? They don't care how bad their service is as long as we keep putting up with it and giving them money so the upper management can buy ever bigger houses and yachts while the staff has no support, too little pay, and poor training.
SHAME ON YOU ULTA. SHAME....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have always loved going to Ulta, and never in my life of ever had an issue with anyone doing my hair at any of the Ulta salons. Last month I had pepper to a root touchup and she did a very good job and I had asked her how much it would cost next time if I got the root touchup and more blonde in the front highlights, and she quoted me about $165 Dollars. On Thursday the 18th of June I had an appointment To do the root touchup and brightening, or all over highlights. Peppered asked me to come in earlier so she would have more time to do my hair. There was no way I could make it in earlier. So she had called me back and we spoke about what she was going to do with my hair My understanding she was going to do the root touchup and all blonde in the front highlights She said she didnāt want me to waste money and come in twice , Because she didnāt have time to do both today . I rescheduled For the following week. I showed up, and when I sat down She informed Me that we were going to do a grey blend . I said no I Gray in my hair, I wanted the gray gone. I sent her an image that was almost platinum blonde. I just wanted my route touched up and the blonde in front to Brighten up my face, she then became very rude ⦠And said my understanding was you just wanted the gray blend and the other process would be $265. It was very obvious she did not want to do my hair for some reason . I spoke to the manager who was very nice, but I refuse to ever go to that salon in Fort Walton Beach after my experience. I felt humiliated and felt discriminated against for some reason. She definitely had some type of grievance against me and I donāt know why . I love ulta but I would never recommend that salon to anyone after my horrific experience. Worst...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot surprised at the 1 star reviews. My experience with store has been so frustrating that I usually drive the extra 30 minutes to Pensacola. Aside from not being helpful, they are dishonest regarding the return policy. I was told by an associate that I could return an item within 90 days for a refund. I found that to be incorrect one day when I tried to return something after 60 days but within 90 days. I was then told anything between 60-90 days you receive store credit. Fine. I received a store credit. Then today, I tried to return something between 60-90 days and was told it was past the return window. I explained to the girl with the orange hair that the policy was within 90 days for store credit. She then rattled off the return policy adding that it didn't matter what form of payment was used that no return after 60 days was accepted and if the return was approved that I would get the lowest price within the last 90 days even though i had the receipt. She then called the manager who authorized my return for store credit, but told me the policy is 60 days and it's at their discretion whether they will accept the return. I've pulled up the return policy up. It's 90 days with or without a receipt.
I've chosen to no longer shop at Ulta. I've shopped at Sephora for a long time and never suffered the same aggravation or any at all compared to Ulta. It's just not worth it. Also, there coupons are generally worthless for high dollar items whereas Sephora coupons and credits are used for any product...
