We went for the lasagna and meatballs and stayed for the wine!
DeFalco Family Foods and Wines is a wonderful add to our great little city of Fountain Valley, we’re so excited you’re here! We visited last Saturday and had a fabulous time wine tasting. Anthony and Mike were such warm, friendly, gracious hosts and educators on the family history, wines and delicious food items. We made our way through most of the wines and identified some favorites (Barbera, Sangiovese, White Wine Blend and of course Bubbly Bubbly Rose!) and purchased a few bottles to take home along with some meat lasagna rolls, tortellini, meatballs and sauce.
We had such a wonderful time we’re ready to go back again this Saturday! The wine tasting room provided a very comfortable atmosphere, cute red and white checkered table cloth, good music and we loved the mural paintings on the walls, the feel is so inviting.
Gus, you have a wonderful gem with DeFalco Family...
Read moreI had to write you right now, as I just finished your delicious chicken cacciatore that I bought on Saturday.
My mom used to make chicken cacciatore when we were kids. And while we’re Polish she learned how to make bolognese, and chicken cacciatore from her best friend who was Italian. Mind you the last time my mom made it was probably 60 years ago. Recently, I wanted to make the chicken cacciatore and had planned on making it in the next month or so, but could not find my mom’s recipe.Having tasted your chicken cacciatore today reminded me instantly of the dish my mom would make. Your sauce is delectably smooth, and the mushrooms, onions and peppers make that flavor of the cacciatore all come together. I am so excited that now I don’t need to make my mom’s because I’ll buy yours instead.
Thank you for bringing a little bit of Italy to our corner of...
Read moreSo happy we discovered this hidden gem! DeFalco Family Foods and Wines is a cozy Italian mini market with a lovely wine tasting room. Their homemade frozen entrees are absolutely delicious — we tried the meat lasagna, chicken cacciatore, and stuffed shells. Everything was so, so good! The sausages and meatballs are honestly the best I’ve ever had. And the ravioli — wow! We cooked them in their homemade marinara sauce, just as recommended, and everyone, including the kids, absolutely loved them. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you can truly feel the love and care this family puts into everything they do. It’s such a special place. Can’t wait to come back to stock up on more amazing food and enjoy a wine tasting. Highly recommend to anyone who loves high-quality food, great wine, and genuine...
