Aurum Events — Attraction in Freehold

Honestly I would never recommend this place. From the poor parking to the ill equipped coat room and topped off by the rudest manager I have ever met it was an experience I would soon like to forget.

Cocktail hour was far too cramped and the food was fair at best. Not enough seating, warm soda, and the bar only had vodka with promises of a better bar upstairs which never came.

They lock the doors too so don't try running out to your car for anything.

Going up to the venue through a freezing cold steep stairway herded like cattle was not pleasant. The venue was poorly set up and you couldn't even see what you were eating let alone talk to people at your table. Dinner took 3 hours to be served and the poor servers (who were the only good part of this whole experience) had to jockey around awkward tables in the dark. When the food finally came it was cold and bland. They only turned some of the lights on 10 minutes AFTER dinner was served.

We left after dinner but we're told coffee wasn't served with any accoutrements. No cream and sugar. And that Decaf was an odd request at midnight.

And to top it all off as we were leaving we were yelled at by the manager. One of the servers kindly offered my husband and I a to go box to take some dessert (again the servers were excellent). As we were about to take a piece of cheesecake the manager comes out and yells at us for taking a to go tin. He grabs the tin out of my husband's hand and says you can't do that. Are you serious?! We told the manager we were offered that tin. He didn't care and he made us feel like we were doing something wrong. No manager should do that his guests. None. Ever. But that kind of service is indicative of this entire experience. Lack luster and poor.

We had to go into the coat room after that and had to retrieve our own coats which were all three on one wire hanger which was on the floor.

If they ever expect better reviews from this point forward they better get it together. Get rid of managers who treat guests like garbage. Get better food. Get better organized. I was completely...

I don’t usually write reviews, but our experience at Aurum for our daughter’s Sweet 16 absolutely deserves one.

From the very beginning, we had high expectations—and Aurum didn’t just meet them, they blew them out of the water. The venue itself is gorgeous. We hosted 115 guests upstairs, and the space felt open, comfortable, and full of energy. The lighting was incredible, and the overall vibe was modern, chic, and elegant. We brought in our own décor, and it paired seamlessly with the atmosphere Aurum already provides.

The food? Outstanding. Our guests are still raving about it. But what truly makes Aurum special is their team. Dave was professional, easy to work with, and always helpful. And their manager, Ryan—absolutely phenomenal. Anyone who has ever planned an event knows how stressful it can be, but Ryan was on top of every detail. I never once felt stressed, unsupported, or left wondering what to do. He anticipated everything before I could even ask, and that kind of service is rare.

The bartenders and servers were just as impressive—friendly, accommodating, and so professional. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting the service. Aurum also recommended Royal DJ, and they were fantastic—they kept the dance floor packed all night.

After months of planning, I can honestly say choosing Aurum was the best decision we made. Our daughter’s Sweet 16 was unforgettable thanks to this amazing venue and their incredible staff. If you’re planning an event—stop looking. Aurum is where you want to be. We HIGHLY...

Your help leading up to the day was outstanding, you and your staff provided a seamless evening of hospitality that left all of my guests feeling well tended to and the food was beyond what I could have hoped for!

Having attended countless business dinners and charity events throughout my career along with birthday parties, weddings and so on, I’m critical when it comes to occasions such as this (especially when it’s my own!). I always feel that the delicate part lies in providing the proper atmosphere and impeccable service while allowing guests to feel comfortable, not on the lookout for food or a server; as if they are the most important people in the room. Your staff did a remarkable job at all of this. The feedback I received from everyone the next day was that every time they turned around there was another server with another selection of hors d'oeuvres. My guests were floored by the quality and taste of every dish served. That’s typically unheard of. I couldn’t have been any happier!

The atmosphere at Aurum is elegant and welcoming, simply beautiful. I will confidently refer Aurum to anyone looking for an event space!
