We played here this weekend as part of a 10u baseball tournament. Great condensed TURF baseball/softball fields. Remind your players to note the surface bounce difference and spend some extra time bouncing batted balls as warmup. It's clean and shaded for the most part. Fields are VERY close together so foul balls present a real threat. Be sure to call the fouls that end up outside of your park very loudly. It could prevent serious injuries. They do not allow outside filled containers but they do provide free ice and water for your container at NO CHARGE. The water they provide is filtered and has no flavor (good thing). Do not bring ANY outside food or drink as they will take it at the gate you can enter and exit freely once you have paid, make sure to get a hand stamp. Also remember that this is a TURF field and METAL cleats cannot be worn. If you have standard plastic cleats they should be usable on the field. Parking can get complicated thanks to the nearby club one casino. Make sure you verify you are not in a tow zone with park security. Food here is priced from fairly to extortion, but, better than ballpark prices for...
Read moreThe fields are great if you are player but the walking into the fields is a joke. There are nothing but kids working the front who get to decide: who gets in for free, who's bags get checked because supposedly you can't bring in any food or drinks but if you are a friend or part of the staff you can do whatever you want. When asked to speak with the manager it was a young girl who was in the front having a social conversation with her friend who had a large Frappuccino that was not bought from the park but I was asked to throw my drink. When I asked why doesn't she have to throw her drink away they said because she was an employee. I stated shouldn't employees set the example and the security guard said that is irrelevant. The manager also stated that the employees can bring in whatever they want. What a poor example of management. They need to hire management with some maturity and experience. The food served is pure crap and there is nothing nutritional. This place will eventually diminished if all they are worried about is money and not the...
Read moreJust had a soccer tournament at Granite Park. Fields are awesome! But I give the park and the experience only 1 star. Person who set up the tournament kept changing the schedule up to the day before. New schedule changed our first game from 11 am to 9 am . Staff did not bother to contact our coach to advise and said was our responsibility to check. The next morning, after we had to forfeit first game because our team was not there, we checked online and the schedule still said 11 am. As we were looking at the schedule it changed. We did that with one of the field reps looking and all they could say was "sorry". That didn't give us the game back. What a way to start, not to mention we could not bring food, ice chests, or water inside. Was told that ice chests caused a lot of damage to the baseball structure. We were not in the baseball area. My opinion, poorly managed. Will not go through that experience again. Whomever runs this park just lost money. If the "owners" of this place want to succeed, they need to do...
