Read moreFirst and last time going there. The food was ok. Prices on the menu are not updated and different from what they charged me but I didn’t make a big deal about it. From reading a few of the reviews, their customer service seems to be their biggest issue. Their services made me feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I’m asian btw. Instead of greeting, smiling, and saying hello to me when she saw me enter and walking to the counter, the server gave me a dirty stare as if I was lost or I’m in the wrong place. While taking my order, she kept responding back as if she was annoyed and couldn’t understand me even though i was speaking clearly to her to. Also, after receiving my food I had asked for some ginger for my sushi order and she literally gave me that “wtf” dirty stare. *btw I don’t understand why they wouldn’t carry ginger and wasabi when those are the two main condiments for sushi 😑 After asking the workers in the back and saying some stuff in Spanish to them, one of the other workers from the back walk towards the front and also gave me a weird look to smh. I just took my food and left before I flipped on their rude service. The way she took my order compare to the other Hispanic guy’s order was very rude and different. Just a big advice for them and hopefully they see my review, If they want their restaurant to grow and continue to survive, they really need to work on their customer service(seems like they don’t care much about working on their attitudes/services because a lot of customers are still complaining about it) and make their customers feel welcome/wanted there it don’t matter what race age or color they are. Because if you’re only looking to serve your own kind and not out and about to the community, you’re restaurant/business isn’t going to last long...
Read moreSo…After like 2 or 3 years of passing by this place all of the time, I finally thought like 2 weeks ago to give them a try and boy was it…good! I guess I was not taking this place seriously before because it was not “Traditional Sushi or Japanese Restaurant” and too, I think because of the building/location. I was definitely wrong to judge this book by its cover. I am giving Mariscos El Sushi 4/5 stars. The 2 sushi rolls that ordered were both deep fried- 1 was called the Guamalchilito roll and the 2nd was named the Dragon roll (photos of both rolls will be included in this post). Both rolls were really tasty, the flavor was good, the presentation was nice and both were hot and fresh; however, each roll was around 16/17 dollars and for the amount that you pay, I feel like there was NOT enough fish included in the roll and the pieces were thin- Only tiny pieces of shrimp and crab were given inside of the rolls, the rest was rice, seaweed wrap, and avocado. Also, the tiny cups of siracha mayo and teriyaki sauces to go with the rolls, costs .25 cents and are only filled up ½ of the way. I Also got the Birria Tacos with cheese that were soo...good, also made hot and fresh. Beware that there is a bit of a wait time, especially when they are busy, but it is not bad and of course your food will be...
