The theaters are objectively very nice. The only newer trend that they lack is that of the big powered recliners and loveseats that you find in many bigger metro areas including at the AMC theater on Alpine Ave.
The seating here is all stadium and the seats are comfortable memory foam. The video quality and sound systems are great in all theaters (even the smaller ones). Finally the concessions here, while expensive, are not out of line in comparison to the rest of the industry, and the popcorn is almost always fresh and tasty.
Celebration has a near monopoly on first run movies in the area, so ticket prices here and any of their other GR theaters are a bit out of line and get ratcheted up frequently...Just go check the ticket prices in GR vs their own prices on their website vs their Lansing property. Furthermore, there is a per ticket transaction fee if you purchase tickets any other way than in person thru the box office... most theater companies I've experienced, waive these fees as part of the perk package for their loyalty program. I really think that they should consider making this change.
Finally, regarding the loyalty program, if you go see movies with some regularity, you should definitely join this one. There are fairly significant discounts at the concession stand as well as accumulating free tickets and concessions at a good rate. You also are contacted occasionally via email or their app offering you opportunities to come to pre-release screenings or other special events. Despite my criticism that waiving the service charge on internet/app based movie ticket purchases should be a perk of the program, it is a solid...
Read moreWe go to this theater quite often. It is convenient, near several restaurants and shops, and the staff is always excellent. So helpful and friendly.
A couple annoyances:
That you have to pick your seats. Although it's a nice idea I have found several instances where I pick my seat and when I get inside the theater someone else is sitting in them. It's not a big deal, but I think it's silly to have us pick our seats when people are just going to sit where it looks good to them when inside the theater.
I also wish the reward card gave a few more perks. Doesn't seem like I'm saving any money. I think the concessions are quite high in price, but then again they all are and I do expect it when going to see a movie, but I also feel that people who go to the movies often and have a reward card should get a few more perks because of that. Maybe a free popcorn for every 10 visits or something like that. It certainly wouldn't break the bank for any business and would definitely show that they appreciate their customers.
Anyhoo...just my opinion. I like the...
Read more😍😍 GOING TO THIS MOVIE THEATER WAS WELL WORTH MY TIME!
Here are my reasons why👇🏽:
As a Grand Rapids Native (returning to visit), this movie theater is considered one of the smaller theaters in Grand Rapids Michigan, but the experience packs a HUGE PUNCH!
The location of this theater is located in an area that feels more like a quiet and intimate atmosphere.
The movie theater was exceptionally clean, and the staff were welcoming with a friendly smile. Moreover, the staff were accommodating and willing to help with whatever we needed and any questions that we had.
The theater itself had comfortable chairs and food trays that made our experience feel as if we were relaxing in a 5 star theater with ALL of the comforts.
I HAVEN'T VISITED THIS THEATER IN YEARS, BUT RETURNING TO THIS THEATER WAS AN EXPERIENCE THAT I WILL NEVER FORGET, AND AN EXPERIENCE THAT I WOULD RETURN TO CAPTURE AGAIN.
✅ Make sure that you visit during a time slot that is NOT BUSY if you would like to experience a more...
