I would not recommend this establishment. While the location is fantastic, their organization is lacking and staff not engaged. I checked in on a Sunday informed them that I’m with a group and that I should have a roommate but don’t know who it is. The concierge brushed it off and sent me on my way. They charged me $100 for deposit. The next day they charged me an additional $720+ for no apparent reason. I hadn’t charged anything to the room. The organization I’m here with has informed me that everything is already paid for. I’ve emailed the assistant general manager on Monday, as of checkout today, Friday, I haven’t had a response. I haven’t been reimbursed as of late. I still don’t have the roommate. There were a lot of small things that by themselves wouldn’t be an issue but added up. The ChargePort didn’t work, even after checking the connection. I couldn’t find the self-service laundry room which was in the description I read. There’s no map of where things are anywhere. I wasn’t given one either. On the tv it gives information but it’s incomplete. The fitness room shut down halfway through the week. The shower gel and shampoo were always empty. Even when I left my shower gel in the shower, staff didn’t think to refill it. The Kleenex tissues were soaked since they were left by the sink from the last guest. They were not restocked even when I left the yellowed tissues and box out. My trash was only emptied on Thursday. I’ve been out from 8:30am to 4pm every day without putting a sign on my door. The walls are very thin and people don’t gently handle the doors so they were loud throughout the night and morning. I told our organizers of our trip I would not recommend this place for next year. It’s a shame because the decor is nice and the pool looks inviting.

This is a cute hotel. Rooms are different and I like it! Everything you need, the soap and hair care products are Dry Bar Brand, how nice! EDIT: I tend to create reviews of hotels soon after getting to the room. I do that so the photos don't have all our stuff in them. I look for things like cleanliness of public areas and the elevators, friendliness of staff and overall vibe. Aloft is great in those areas, for the most part. I want to include the pictures that demonstrate the weak housekeeping. I am a blonde and my husband has a military haircut, so finding a wad of black hair stuck to the wall in the shower was absolutely stomach turning. The shower door doesn't close tightly and there was a 2" puddle that took almost every towel they gave us (request extra towels and blanket) The website indicated that there was a bar with food. On 1/22, we went down to the bar ordered a drink and asked for a menu. Michelle, the bartender informed us that she was also the cook and with 8 people in the bar, she won't willing to do so, "too much running around", she complained. Those words are a stunning testament to the laziness of Service workers today. We paid for our drink and left. The same can be said about the "convenience store". There are no heat and eat options. There are chips and sodas. As a result of my interactions, I am taking this review from 4 stars to 2. I am not under any delusion that this would matter to anyone, but the Mgr, Dylan, should be following the housekeeping crew with a check list and having a staff meeting with Michelle to discuss expectations. Do not quote COVID policies to me. Hire and pay quality and qualified enthusiastic people.

housekeeping is suspended for now. info was provided after we checked in on paper. the place isn't as "clean" as previous visits but still cleaner than most other places around, like the pool had bugs, leaves, branches and plastics of some kind floating in it, carpet stains, the room was cleaned decently enough. the beds are super cozy and comfortable. I am always prepared with a cleaning kit, so I cleaned and sanitized the room ( especially the shower, that needed more work) before we made it ours. I bring my own sheets and pillows. aloft pillows are comfortable, you have to request clean comforters as their is no turn down service right now. I called and had it waiting for me at the front desk, along with fresh towels and trash bags. super friendly atmosphere. Rafael is the BESTTTT! so pleasant, and awesome manager of the hotel. thank you for everything. the young man cleaning the hard floors that night was just a sweetie pie and in his zone. kudos. the only iffy thing was how so many visitors were at the bar in a cluster and bartender not wearing mask properly. Other than that , this is by far better than anything that I have visited near by. oh yeah, I left my two sided lighted mirror on the table. I called the next morning and they had found it, and saved it for me to have picked up.

Positive- Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cons- - Was woken up during the night by noise in the hallway and rooms next door. Walls are PAPER thin. I heard my neighbors alarm one moring. - TV didn't work. Tries to stream but the mariott links didn't work. Message to call desk for help, they aren't equiped for that. - Breakfast- ordered oatmeal- got a cup of instant oats with lukewarm water. They didn't even reconsititue. Took 15 minutes to deliver that mess. Suggestion maybe out some brownsugar out? - Commissary- like all Marriott properties, there was a small convience store. This one was out of eveyrthing. Only snacks were chips and a few beverages, for four days! For comparison the Marriott my teammate as it this trip had a big assortment of chips, candy, beverage options, popcorn, some frozen items.. - Room was clean , common areas of the hotel were filthy. Staff left a laundry bin in the hallway for two of the three days. Went to have coffee downstairs in the lobby while I waited for a ride- I wouldn't put my computer on the table it was so gross. - Had two mornings with no hot water for a 7:30 AM shower. All in all this was a big dissappointment. I'm a Marriott Bonvoy member and this propert isn't close to the Marriott brand I expect.

Location great for anyone visiting UF campus. New hotel, opened 9/2018, according to young woman at check in desk. Dark, industrial style lobby. Rate included 2 cocktails, but they couldn't find any coupons to give me. Room was small, with Ikea-ish look. Ok though, and two windows had nice view of wetlands area. Zero traffic noise. However, property is pet friendly, and the construction beyond flimsy. From the far side of my room, I could hear a Chihuahua barking endlessly across the corridor, which was quite wide. Bed, though, extremely comfortable, with good (i e. not synthetic feeling) sheets. Considering the hotel had a bar in the lobby, I was surprised there were very few snacks in the little self-purchase area, by far the skimpiest I've ever seen. Later, when I came down for a drink, a jazz singer was there, extremely loud in the empty, dark lobby, and right next to the bar. Retreated to my room, no drink. Ok overall, just short on amenities. No pic of hotel, but bats flying at dusk we're a great sight!
