CHANGE TO MY 4 STAR REVIEW
After 3 years, the SERVICE got WORSE and WORSE. I finally left. $35-45 a month with the hope of not ever needing customer service.
Before, my only issue was with people not re-racking their weights. The gym has gotten very popular, and I guess there’s now a problem with people sharing their membership with others.
I was called on the phone one day and ACCUSED of sharing my membership with “8 people” by VALARIE (buff blonde lady). I don’t even know 8 people who go to the gym. I told her I wasn’t doing that, and she said “well…I guess I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt” and threatened to cancel my membership. How RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL.
After that, I had to HIDE my barcode whenever I was inside, because I worried someone stole my code to get in the gym. I was paranoid about something I DIDN’T DO.
On a separate occasion a friend of mine went in, and needed a new keychain barcode. Valarie demanded that he scanned in, and he said he needed help with a new barcode. “No. I’m busy with someone else,” she said, then clicked a button on the computer and WALKED AWAY. It turns out she deactivated his code from the keypad entry, and he wasn’t able to get into the gym after hours anymore—until someone FINALLY helped him with a new one.
The gym has gotten more and more PACKED and despite the extra parking, you still may not have anywhere CLOSE TO PARK—especially in the evening. There’s also a lack of LIGHTING in the parking lot, so it’s very unsafe unless it’s daytime.
I got tired of worrying about the poor service if I had any issues, and hope to find another gym with...
Read moreOld equipment, not a good variety of machines, there is no standard to the plated weights all different brands and materials. None of the members re rack the weights or hardly wipe machines down. When I went in to cancel today she asked me why and I said I was going to another gym, she proceeded to roll her eyes at me and scoff at my response. I’m sorry you have been in business 16+ years and haven’t decided to upgrade anything in the gym. Oh and there is zero parking because of the indoor soccer fields attached to the business, you either have to park in a dirt lot or across the street in the evening. If your a power lifter or a boxer this place is for you but if you’re a regular gym goer this place has no value and I’m really disappointed on how the gym manager responded to me leaving her gym, since a new gym opened in town this place is not very busy and it’s...
Read moreGreat gym! It's a comfortable, yet motivating atmosphere. One of those places where you can go without the fear of judgment. No one stares at you. People just mind their own business and listen to the loud music playing. More importantly, these folks are an asset to our community. They're making changes to better our community. You wouldn't believe all the work and effort they put in to keeping kids off the streets, feeding and clothing the homeless, supporting local families. They are involved in the community. Their hearts are in the community...and they ask for nothing in return, not even acknowledgment. If you want to go to a real gym and know that your membership fees (very reasonable, by the way) are going toward a good cause instead of lining the pockets of the owners, check out The Beast Sports Center. See what they're all about. You won't be...
