Always fresh, delicious Greek food! I usually order the chicken souvlaki platter which is 2 long skewers filled with large chunks of moist roasted chicken breast meat, a side of their lemony, roasted potato wedges & a Greek side salad & pita wedges --very filling meal!! This time I had the stuffed peppers: 2 large peppers stuffed with rice, chopped zucchini, tomato sauce that comes with a side of their yummy roasted potatoes that have a hint of lemon. Ordered the ratatouille as to-go for my husband, it had large chunks for vegetables & comes with pita & choice of cheese (he got feta) -he loved it! I also ordered their chicken soup to-go for us to have the next day -- this soup is thick & lemony broth with orzo & a little chicken. Also got their tiramisu & chocolate mousse cake to-go --their desserts are large & scrumptious!! I visit often and have never had any food that I didn't love! So fresh & tasty!! Also, the owners & staff are so friendly & generous --they try to talk to every table & sometimes bring out samples to try! Just wonderful customer service!! I actually used their food for my daughter's wedding this October for 120 guests --all the guests raved that this was the best wedding food they have ever had!! (I had all the chafing pans w/ sternos to keep the food hot on our buffet; I also had some awesome insulated food delivery bags for Alpha staff to use & the food was piping hot upon delivery to our venue 45 min from restaurant --Alpha's owner was so impressed w/ those delivery bags, he has bought some for his regular catering deliveries.) The food was phenomenal and the service unsurpassed. I must admit that the owners nailed it with the perfect restaurant name. ALPHA defines their impeccable Greek cuisine. ALPHA GYRO GRILL is indeed FIRST and MATCHLESS in quality, taste, preparation and its sensible pricing. I honestly don't know where to begin; from their mouthwatering tenderloin beef souvlaki to their delicious salads to their homemade dips....everything was scrumptious and savory. For the newbie who is unfamiliar with Greek fare, souvlaki is seasoned meat cubes on a skewer similar to shish kebob. They offer the souvlaki entree also with chicken or pork. Our party wanted to sample many of the items on the menu. After all, we are food enthusiasts and critics. We were impressed with their pasta selection, as well. Hands down, their spaghetti in Greek meat sauce was the best I ever tasted. And, for the vegetarian in our group, she totally inhaled the the lemon Greek potatoes and the spinach pie, not to mention the Greek salad. On a final note, my review wouldn't be complete without the mention to one of their house specialties, the Mousaka. It is the ultimate food experience, a true epicurean delight. It was so satisfying that I placed an order to go. In retrospect, perhaps the owners should have also considered the name, AMBROSIA. I think it's fair to surmise that their accomplished cuisine and recipes may have originated in Mt. Olympus. I can certainly confirm that the food is indeed the food of the Greek gods!!! BTW, I live in Atlanta and the drive to Gainesville was worth every single mile!!! Kudos to the proprietors, management...

The food is still amazing! The gyro I ordered was excellent! Meat was well tucked in, not dry. The pita bread itself was so flavorful!

My mouth took over when I saw the food. This is why the photo is of my half eaten order.

I don't come here often, but I am always satisfied with their food each time I do order from here.

My review 2 years ago: Gyro platter I think is a bit pricey, but the serving size of the gyro wrap made it up for me. The meat was NOT flat and dry like some stores that I visited before.

They have soft cheese on the salad, I think its goat cheese with some herbs it was interesting as far as when I saw it, the cheese itself was excellent!

Went there during lunch time, place is clean, their workstations are visible, enough for your to trust that they are handling your food with care.

I was not aware that Gyro meat was a combination of Lamb and Beef, thank you lady in the cash register, forget her name, sorry, but I saw both of the ladies were talking to all customers with a smile.
