When people write that the man up front taking orders is rude, believe it. I have never been made to feel worse.
It was my first time going, I went with a couple of friends, of whom were also first-timers there. I go to the counter after I settled on an option and had follow-up questions—he mumbles back to me. I politely say, “excuse me?” He asks me what kind of soup I want, at no point did I ask about soup, I was left confused. At this point there’s a line of people. He repeats himself louder this time, as I had not answered his question, everyone looks up and listens in. I, still, politely say “I do not want soup, I want the lunch with an egg roll, and am wondering if it comes with a drink?” He cuts me off before I finish and yells at me in front of everyone, “the lunch comes with soup.” Now, I’m not rude, but I’m also not going to take rude treatment. I tell him in a similar tone, not a yelling, however, that I am new and am not familiar with the menu. He doesn’t say anything, nor does he answer my question. He charges me and I am left embarrassed—of which I shouldn’t have been, he’s the one who looked poorly.
I grab a drink because I was charged around $20s for a lunch and my other friends ordered the same items, grabbing a drink. We are all seated at a table waiting for our food—I receive a business call, I take it. He sees I’m on a call and comes out and starts yelling at me for grabbing a drink and “not paying for it.” I tell him to give me a second while I’m done with the call that I will pay him (that was my original question after all). He just keeps yelling at me, my friend is kind enough to pay for my drink while I finish up my call. At this point, I am no longer comfortable eating at the restaurant. I tell my friends to go out ahead of me. I go to the counter and politely ask the gentleman if he is the owner? He said no, he said he just works there. I told him that he is one of the rudest people I have met, that he needs to develop his customer service skills because this is the worst treatment. I told him it was my first and last time going. I walked out the door and on my way out he curses at me.
Very low customer service, and from the looks of it I am not the only one who has experienced...
Read moreIt was my fault yall LMAO I was worn out from work & accidentally ordered at the wrong spot. I usually go to the real Hibachi- I think it's Hibachi& wings idk My stomach is still hurting & I have been repeatedly to the bathroom for more than 2-3 days now. I'm almost certain I may have had food poisoning. 1-I've never heard of medium rare steak being in rice... I thought it was always cooked thoroughly, can someone enlighten me if I'm wrong and that's a thing seriously... I'd really like to know!!!
2- Glad I always inspect my food. I truly don't think my food was cooked all the way & usually I tolerate a few not so great reviews but no, definitely read the recent reviews yall!!
3- I was able to squeeze the blood out of some of the big pieces in my steak.. That made my stomach bubble just by the sight and mental thought of that. GROSS!!!!!!!!! Anywhooo with my always grateful spirit I went to go cook my food completely and I guess it was better but my stomach was already turned off by the flashback of what happened minutes ago. Maan, I tried HARD not to throw the food "my money" away but ): Then the rice?!?! My stomach was aching and it still kind of hurts a little bit and this is day 5 or 6. Didn't think I'd have to request fully cooked steak in my rice hmmm forgive me for assuming all meats in any rice would be fully cooked.
I've learned my lesson to always double check where I'm eating at, no matter how exhausted I am. However, the dumplings were great! He seemed so sweet though - I'd recommend for the service, he made sure to call repeatedly when the food was ready & that's helpful bc I tend to be busy as hell and forget what I was doing minutes ago. On a good day, I truly have my moments. If you get steak, tell him fully cooked no medium rare! I'm not sure if he knew or just makes his hibachi steak like that, regardless I admit I blame myself. That one review about kind of slimy overly chewy food was right hate to say it. But it was a huge portion & I eat a lot but didn't eat that much. (Steak &...
Read moreWhen I am in Gainesville, GA and want to grab something on my way home. I would stop here. The last 2 times I have had a issue with his pricing/menu pricing. The last time he charged my card, and added more than he stated. I believe in giving 20+ for tipping. I ordered extra chips and sauce he charged me $5. (lunch combination was $9.95). (3 lunch combination cost over $55.00) Today, I stopped and ordered the sesame chicken lunch comb, which the menu says the combination comes with fried/white rice, egg drop soup/hot and spicy and an egg roll. It was almost $15.00. As I was waiting, I thought I would order extra chip, so I could take the soup to work tomorrow. I think he is the owner (he is the only one, I have every seen there. He told told me i didn't order soup, I got the menu and said I ordered the lunch combination and I paid for the combination with egg drop soup. He charged me($1.90) for a half bag chips. When I got home, the portion was small and I didn't get the egg roll. ($15 is a lot for lunch and the portion). I not sure if he does this on purpose. I can't help, to think it's on purpose. He is the one that charged my card extra and he took my order, and bagged my order. I am disappointed, because customers deserve to get what they pay for and shouldn't have to bring it to their attention. (THIS WAS ALMOST 2:00, I was the only one there).
I don't think I will ever go back. Next time I will just drive back across town, to Orienial Garden 2 (behind Texas...
