I took my toddler son who has Down Syndrome, and his little sister to Dream Smiles. It was our first visit with a new dentist because the last practice we went to just could NOT be bothered with my sons crying and fighting. I was so worried about how he would do, and how they would react. My daughter did ok. My son- kicked, screamed, fought, cried. But Dr. J and her entire staff stayed so calm. She sang to him. Helped position us better. Put on his favorite movies, told him how great he was doing. Always asking if I was ok, if he was ok. She let us take breaks to hug and reassure everything was ok. Didn’t rush us out. He eventually calmed down a bit, but still whining…and they were able to clean, brush, floss and fluoride! I honestly cannot say enough great things about Dream Smiles Pediatric Dentistry of Gaithersburg. The time and empathy they showed really meant the world to this tired mama. We felt included, and not only that, it just came so completely naturally to Dr. J and the staff. I was totally blown away by the kindness and professionalism! If I could rate this practice 1,000 stars, I would,...
Read moreDr.J and her team (front desk and the dental hygienist) are simply amazing. I have been taking my kids to dentists for a while now and this is the first dental office that they love and I like too. Dr.J is very knowledgeable, patient, detail oriented, genuine and very caring. The receptionist Anna always ensures yo give you accurate information on what your insurance covers, how much, what they don’t cover, etc. She’s also very pleasant. Maritza, the hygienist is really good with the cleaning and has a welcoming warm attitude. She’s very engaging with the kids to help them keep still and/or distracted from the procedure as needed. My kids are new to this office and we’ve found our dentist and dental office. The whole office has a warm inviting positive aura. I’m very impressed with how professional, attentive and caring they all were. My kids had amazing experiences and keep asking when next they’ll be going to the dentist which is a first. Dr.J and your team, thanks again for all you do. Keep up the great work; it doesn’t go unnoticed. I wished you took adults too because then I’ll be your...
Read moreI have 3 kids and made quite a few mistakes with my oldest when choosing a dentist..and paid (quite literally) for them. She was scared of the dentist after a bad encounter when she was small - very scared and I ended up having to pay out-of-pocket to get her cavities filled (while under general anesthesia)…. It was a mess!!!! I vowed never to make the same mistake again - and researched good pediatric dentists a ton till we found Dream Smiles.
Everyone was so kind and chill (and I had 3 kids there for 3 back to back appointments) - the space is relaxing, and kid friendly.
We loved it - my kids got their teeth cleaned and x-rayed. There was absolutely no “up selling,” in fact they wanted me to wait to do x-rays on my smallest kid - but 3 year olds can be persistent and she wanted to do what her brother and sister did- so we even got x-rays of her teeth while we were there
The kids loved the “prizes” they got for being brave and all the positive reinforcement the received for the team there.
The dentist was patient and walked me through everything - for each kid.
Great...
