My wife and I wished to have our baby shower here. During our tour of the grand parlor, the person assisting us explained that despite only being open 6 hours a week, messages left would be checked daily. My wife called and left a message, requesting a call back about renting this room for a particular date and time. She never received a call back. We went today during the limited business hours to pay for the facility for the date and time my wife had referenced in her message. When we arrived, we were told that, despite our call, our message, and their failure to return our call, they had rented the room right out from under us. Read moreI was here for a baby shower. Nice building, beautiful landscaping, memorials, and interesting curios inside. For an old house it is very nice. The grand parlour is great for a small event, we could have fit more people than we had and still had enough space. (I want to say 25-50 people would fit...? I didn't check the fire code so don't hold me to those numbers.) It seemed spacious. There is a small kitchenette with a walk through area that was setup for food, not a full kitchen, but just enough.
