The best Daiso I've personally been to, and I've visited all of the ones near me in a 5 mile radius. This one is twice as far as the ones near me, but it's worth the trip as they're the biggest and cleanest one, have the largest selection, and are the only with with a frozen section to buy the kinds of frozen foods you normally only find at Japanese grocery stores.
The staff is also first rate and is very fast, helpful, and friendly. To be honest, I've never met a bad Daiso employee and every one that I've seen is very good, but the ones here are the best that I've seen personally.
A quick personal tip is that they have clip-on and wear-over sunglasses if you're a person who wears glasses, but need sunglasses for driving or something. I bought a set of clip-ons (they come in two shapes which fit most types of eyeglasses) AND a set of wear-over types (kind of like 3D glasses at the movie theater) which you can wear without glasses as well.
All in all I believe they were only $1.50 each but outperformed the $15 ones I got at Walmart, which provided less coverage, had poorer visibility, and yet cost much more. I also was impressed at the cheap price of USB charging cables, and the car accessories and electronics in general.
For certain kinds of necessities, Daiso really is a great place to go. Sure there aren't any returns or exchanges, but if you KNOW you need something, that's not an issue...
Read moreWhat happened to all the high quality items from Japan? All those amazing Japanese mini stuff and gadetry that makes your life more organized, unique varieties of travel cosmetics/perfume cases (very high quality!), the SD/mini SD storage cases I liked, etc? I don't seem to find them anymore since all the Daiso stores "remodeled" around here last year. I noticed before, items carried "Daiso Japan" tags but it doesn't seem to now. I'm disappointed 😩😞 Seem like items are made cheaper now, like the other day I bought plastic zippered document cases, cuz I bought them before and liked it. Same looking item but it's thinner material and have cheaper feel now. 😖 More things you see at other dollar stores or they carry exact same/common items from local "American" dollar stores (99¢ Only, Dollar Tree, etc), only difference you pay more ($1.50 & above). It really defeats the purpose of me shopping specifically at Daiso...
Read moreI LOVE THIS DAISO! This place has so many cute and useful products. They have gadgets for your home, cars, pets, even stationaries, snacks, etc. they have almost everything you need and more. There were products there that I didn't even know could exist! They have such useful and cute products that you actually would use and not just throw in your garage and never touch it again. Their products are also pretty sturdy and hold up very well. But the most amazing part of daiso is the price!!! In this day and age with how everything is so expensive all the time! Daiso really saves my husband and I big bucks. Usually at a regular store, we would buy three things and they're already $100. But here you could fill a whole cart and not even surpass $50. You buy so much and pay so little it is...
