Father Time has definitely played a role as to the current state of Garfield Commons formally known as Garfield Mall. I personally shop at quite a few stores there, but to be honest, it's out of convenience and nothing more. When I was a child my father would take me to the movie theater (now closed) which also happens to be the place of my first employment. The sad part about Garfield Commons is not so much the time it has remained open but rather the cleanliness of the actual stores and/or the parking lot. I can almost guarantee that if you drive along the stores from McDonald's towards Marc's that the amount of garbage along the way is alarming to say the least... but the pinnacle would without doubt be the corner in-between Dollar Tree and Marc's. If I didn't know better I would dismiss it as some kids rebelling but I do know better, just as anyone else, who has been shopping there for a good portion of time. That, my friend, has enough trash swirling around to be a noteworthy contender for the landfill.. It's truly a shame because as I said earlier, it has been a staple of the community as long as i can remember. Other then that I can do all but guarantee that good 'ol Garfield Commons will be around long enough for my kids to...
Read moreWent to Pet Supplies Plus in Garfield Heights near Marc's. It was my lil man's birthday. He turned 1 year old on 01/15/23🐶 Anyway, the young lady that waited on me was really sweet and helpful. It wasn't very crowded. They were a bit on the pricey side. Particularly for doggie clothes. Pricing $10 and up! My problem here was that there were too many "accidents" on the floor that needed to be cleaned up. Unfortunately, when people don't clean up behind their fur-baby's and don't make the workers aware of the issue this is what happens. The Staff has to do their rounds though and be mindful, particularly when its slow... and it was slow. Nevertheless, I managed to find some cute stuff for my baby and he was happy. I bought a birthday cookie, birthday cake, birthday card (yup a birthday card for my dog) and a stylish little hat..total cost $27! What can I say..." I'm a dog lover"...I'd go back. They are nearby and the service was good! Happy wagging...

UPDATE - THANKFUL FOR SELF CHECKOUT. I don't have to wait and deal with stupid workers and can scan myself if i ever stop by rarely anymore but the self checkout is a gift to have to avoid slow workers that take years to scan the items and don't know what they are doing, yeah they are underpaid which also I don't know why they stay there either.
Overall nothing really is great there. Sure pet supplies is alright. $1 store gets worst every time you go, between the store and the stupid Garfield Customers with no care or common knowledge that show up but those are the people that live there so makes sense.
Other people try running over the seagulls with their cars and scaring then and drive right through them like idiots also.
I think the people in Garfield make Garfield stupider and worse every day...
