SOHA DAY SPA — Attraction in Garfield

I recently had the displeasure of visiting Soha Spa, and to say it was a disappointment would be an understatement. My experience was marred by incompetence, discomfort, and a lack of basic amenities that one would expect from a high-end spa.

Let's start with the massage. The therapist seemed to have no clue what they were doing. Their technique was amateurish at best, and to make matters worse, their stomach was gurgling so loudly throughout the session that it was impossible to relax. It was like trying to unwind in the middle of a digestive symphony.

Next up was the so-called "European facial." What a joke. Instead of a rejuvenating treatment, it felt more like having someone sloppily wash my face with little regard for my comfort. Half the time, I was squinting to keep soap out of my eyes. And don't get me started on the ambiance—or lack thereof—in the treatment room. Outside of the massage room two ladies were yelling and the therapist had to go out the room and tell them to be quiet, they kept going.

The body scrub was advertised as being made with sugar, but what I received was anything but. Instead, it felt like I was being exfoliated with a loofah worn as gloves. While the therapist was thorough, the water used was scalding hot, and the session lasted a mere 20 minutes instead of the promised 40.

To top it all off, the spa had the audacity to charge a staggering $850 for this subpar experience. For that price, one would expect a level of luxury and quality that Soha Spa simply does not deliver. There was nothing organic about this place—not in the treatments, not in the ambiance, and certainly not in the experience.

Update: March 22, 2023 It seems there are new people working there unfortunately our experience today was not great I mean the message part was good for me but not my wife . The Jacuzzi was broken and we could not use it even though we called and booked 2 day before . Music in the room was not working the had to use there phone instead!!!! And the kept the door open the whole time . Also the lady was vey loud and rude , the other lady the whole time she was trying to convince my wife to by a certain product during the appointment , last they asked for tip minimum 20$ for each For me that’s it I am not going back there anymore, I gave 3 starts for the message part and for the other stuff from last year.

I tried the special room today were I spend 1 hour in private room relaxing and using the jacuzzi, They never enter the room with the permission. They also got a me tea and noodle soup. When it comes to privacy they tried their best. My wife wearing a hijab And every time she need to go somewhere they will make sure nobody in the hallway to see her , They will close all the doors so she can go anywhere comfortably. The worst massage I’ve ever gotten in my life was from here. Last night around 8:30 I booked a Swedish 60 minute couples massage for $213!! This was my friend and I first time coming here and when both of the masseuse entered the room to begin the massage they turned on this bright light which was not relaxing at all then began to immediately start digging her hands into my skin while talking to the other masseuse the whole entire time. I kindly asked her twice if she can go softer because that actually hurts and she proceeded to ignore what I requested. I was very uncomfortable used barely any oil so it felt like a fire was trying to be made on my back . What she did to one side of the body she did not do to the other side and actually that didn’t bother me because the whole time in my head I was asking god to please make this go faster because she was actually torturing me with pain. The non stop talking to each other was so disrespectful especially since I didn’t understand what they were saying . The massage was horrible super rough and no one asked not once how we would like our massages to be . I feel violated and my back is in the worse pain ever .
