Embree Park — Attraction in Garland

People that come to this park are disrespectful to the surrounding houses. Constant loud music, so loud it shakes the walls of peoples homes. They throw trash in peoples back yards from the parking lot, including beer bottles. I wouldn't bring my child here on the weekend, as it is unsafe and taken over by adults drinking alcohol trashing the place. The city of Garland has done nothing to fix this issue. My advice is to try another rec center for your family, as this one has been claimed by the degenerates...

I've been going to this park since I was a kid. I used to take my kids there too. The park is pretty big, clean & safe. I like going to do my walking there on their route. A few years ago they took out the old jungle gym set & put a new one with swings. I noticed that some remodeling has been done. Went today it was pleasant, not crowded. We went around 8:30 am. Would definitely go back. It was our first time doing a splashpad. Would recommend sunblock, personal seats to sit in the shade, sunglasses, or hats. The splashpad and play area are not shaded.
