H & M Furniture — Local services in Garland

Stay clear of these scammers. They claim to have leather but it’s not. I was there from out of town and was furnishing my sons house. I had no idea that this was not an actual furniture store until I arrived there by gps. I found them on Facebook. They have a storefront with furniture catalogs for you to look in and a few cheap mattresses stacked on top of each other. They claim to have warehouses with the furniture already in stock. That was the only reason I went there because they had it in stock and I was only going to be there a couple of days. Other furniture stores were taking months to get furniture in. I purchased a leather sectional and bunk bed with mattress. The mattresses were not the same mattresses they said I was going to ge. The bunkbed was ok, but expensive. Me thinking that I’m going to get a better quality because of the expense was a huge mistake. The sectional that they delivered was not real leather nor was it even the right color. This furniture was so lightweight and cheaply made that I could pick the the chair up with two fingers. The bottom base which is supposed to be extremely heavy, because it’s the recliner. I lift and carried it with my left hand and I am right handed. These people are extremely unethical with no morals. They are big time scammers and "buyers need to BEWARE. They will try to get you to pay with cash or a debit card instead of a credit card. It will be difficult to get your money back with a debit card compared to a credit card because you are not protected by certain consumer laws of the Consumer Credit Act. They know once they deliver the furniture to you you will not accept it. Fortunately, I did not pay with either I paid with a credit card. They will also stamp no returns or refunds on the receipt after you’ve signed paperwork. You will notice that the ink That says no returns or refund will be original but all the other ink on the receipt is a carbon copy. They do this by distracting you so, beware, better yet don’t do business with these people. Also the two delivery guys that brought the furniture to the house would not take the furniture back after I looked at the furniture and found out that it was faux im leather or some type of plastic. They were to install the sectional but they couldn’t because the pieces were the wrong pieces. When I told them I didn’t want it, they got on their phone called their manager and he didn’t want to accept it back. If you’re interested I have videos of the workers stating that he was going to take it back and I also have videos of the pictures of the sectionals with me picking them up with two fingers. Remember you've been warned to stay away from this place at all cost. These are big-time professional scammers. Also if you were any kind of legitimate business you would tell the customer if there’s anything wrong you don’t want it we’ll take it back but you’ll have to pay us the delivery fee or stocking fee. They don’t say that because they know this furniture they are delivering to your home is imitation leather. My belief is they probably paid $125 for the sectional yet charged me $2800 for it. Again you have been warned to stay away from these scammers. There are other legitimate furniture stores where you could buy your furniture. Honestly I had no idea what part of town this was. I mistakenly ventured in to the Garland location, unaware that Mike to whom I had the pleasure of working with in the past was actually housed out of their Wylie location. Despite having a rapport with Mike, I still entered the building, a bit nervous to make a prospective purchase alone as a married female customer. Upon entering the door, I was greeted with a smile from someone who seem to work at a neighboring business, and as I open the door to H&M, I was acknowledged with eye contact, a smile, and a friendly hello by two gentleman who worked at the facility. The gentleman to whom I interacted with, had the same qualities that I had encountered from my virtual experience with Mike at the Garland location, despite the greeting that I had as in as I entered the facility; my sense of nervousness became non existent. The gentleman that I now know as Joe, truly took care of me, but he genuinely seemed to care about my satisfaction after the delivery, whereas many to whom are in sales and ownership positions, tend to focus solely on the sale and profitability. Joe cared about the end result and my fulfillment. Their delivery driver was clean cut, professional, and he arrived minutes before the anticipated delivery time! Timeliness has become a rarity, but again this was ANOTHER sign of their professionalism! I had an amazing experience with this store and my entire process.

I found a post on fb marketplace. Christian was quick to respond amd CONTINUOUSLY responded to me answering all my questions. Found the bed set I wanted to order, the manager Joe was so friendly and explained ALL my options. He helped me picked a mattress best for me, and set up SAME DAY DELIVERY!!!!! His guys brought my furniture and took it to the correct room Upstairs. My set was extremely large and weighed up to 155lbs each of several boxes, and a 12 inch king mattress, not easy stuff to take upstairs. They didn't just dump it inside my garage or front door as other places have done. I was blown away by their stock, great prices, super friendly staff and phenomenal customer service!! I definitely recommend them to everyone in need...
