I love this park and remember before it was built there is plenty of baseball fields a walking track tennis court swings a very big and fun jungle gym the area of the park is on the nicer side of town so the park is pretty clean the park would be a 5 star if there was a water park for the kids or even do a swimming pool and then this would be the best park around and would attack alot of ppl that go to other parks that do have water parks or pools but because of how far out it is from the city it's less fun if it a good cool day in the park and to watch the kids play I'd suggest lineburger park where the whole park is practically shaded there is a free water park for small kids and toddlers plus a pool with a small admission price and a train which Martha rivers lacks these for younger children goto lineburger but for kids around 5 to 10 and it's athletic things like practicing baseball bc it's more wide open and has a big and nice jungle gym and swings but for younger children that's it really the only reason for 4 stars is location and how clean and we'll kept but really if this park was where lineburger is it would be one star too bad they can't take some money and improve the park and give it the same features as lineburger then it would be...

To whomever it may concern, Please take some of that concession moolah and expand the black top to maybe enable the hardworking parents to enjoy their children's game day! I think I actually saw 3 separate sports in as many different fields. Packed to the gills! It's not this time..it's every time....hell I'm not past putting my money where my moth is and chipping in a couple dollhairs. With any luck, we can watch games and not people ready to eat one anothers face off for trying to find a place to park so they can too to the important thing and support their littles!! Hell by the time I finally found a space to park one of two game had freaking ended...that's how long it took to park safely....and not in the handicap spot either...and I really lucked out bc as I wes almost about to drive by. My attention was immediately on the car backing out at breakneck speed. No mirrors nothing just R and Gas. This time it panned out. But I get anxiety just thinking about the next game day...maybe we'll just camp out over night like a grateful dead concert...Amy...

This park is beautiful! It's like a huge wooden castle with all sorts of little passageways for exploring and hide-and-seek. I drive 30 minutes to be spend the morning here with my son (age 6). We pack a lunch and eat at one of the picnic areas. We like the one right by the entrance because there's a nice breeze and it's shady, but there is a larger picnic shelter for groups (it's usually occupied when we come), and a small one (in the sun) by the soccer fields. There are two well-kept restroom areas with water fountains, and plenty of trash cans. There are also good play spaces for toddlers and younger kids, including a really neat in-ground sandbox, swings, and smaller playground areas separate from the castle (but I have never had any issues with the bigger kids being too rough around the little guys playing in the castle). Parents have plenty of shaded seating and walking trails. It's just a great place for...

This ain’t #Texas! Found an awesome park in #gastonia #southcarolina! If you are in the area, or within an hour drive it’s so worth it! There’s an amazing mercantile shop called Gillmore’s about 6 minutes from the park! Stop in, shop around and get you one of the best cups of coffee! #thingstodo #playground #toddlermom #toddlersctivities #sahm #travellife #rvliving #letsgo

Went by today (7-23-2020) after a stop at a nearby grocery store. It was very quiet and peaceful, not many people there. Unfortunately, the playground is closed off for the children. Very sad. They need some fresh air and sunshine. You can get close enough to read some of the children's names on the tiles mounted on the walls around the playground. As a fundraiser, you could purchase a tile and put a child's handprint or foot print and their name on it, many years ago. Many local people donated money to help build the playground and now it cannot be used. At least you can look at the tiles... Update: 2023: Park is open again and you can still look at the tiles.

This place is awesome!! My kids loved this sprawling castle themed playground There are many fields to play on as well- set up of soccer, football and baseball. But back to the park- There’s a small kids section, which is excellent for the littlest ones, a giant sand pit to play and dig in, a wondrous maze of platforms and hiding spots, many swings, and an “obstacle” section with balance beams, monkey bars, rings, etc. There’s many benches due the parents to sit on- and quite a few even have coverings over them. My family and I will certainly be back to enjoy this one-of-a-kind park and I highly recommend you check it out too!
