Wow...where to even begin. We had our wedding at the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens and Bamboo Farm. We had to put this together in just a few short months due to my mother's declining health. When I called to get everything scheduled, I met the most wonderful and professional coordinator, Kahlita. She assisted us beyond words can express. She helped us with vendors and found the perfect date. She was attentive and went above anything I could ever ask in someone to help us. Once time came closer, I had the pleasure to meet Mr. Greene. He already knew the floor plan we had drafted before we even met with him. You can tell that they have been doing this for a long time and were very experienced! We noticed other office staff assisting with the venue set up along with security services. They are a very cohesive team, and they will do anything to not only help you- but help each other.
The venue was just so beautiful. It was truly extraordinary. The gardens created a peaceful place for us and our guests. We held our ceremony in a courtyard under white arches with wisteria vines and a lake behind us. Our aisle was a brick path way through maze hedges leading through perfect green grass. It created a breathtaking first view of my new husband.
We had our reception inside that comfortably sat all of our guests. We were provided all of the tables and chairs that we needed. We had ample room for our first dance and family speeches.
Not to mention, there was even a large covered patio to have a whole dance floor and bar services! I highly recommend Alana with AB Mobile Bar Services, who was recommended by the venue. Alana assisted with so much more than bar services. She connected with our guests (and even decorated their set up with our theme and colors). There was more room and space that created a journey for everyone attending.
Throughout the night, Kahlita and the staff made sure we had everything, and they made our day so seamless. I never felt pressured or stressed with them by my side.
Thank you so much for everything you did for us. You gave us the most beautiful wedding we could have ever dreamed of. It far exceeded any expectation. We love you with all of our heart and soul. You created the foundation of our marriage by giving...
Read moreA Magical Disaster - Don't Believe the Hype" So, we’re from Texas, and for YEARS we’ve been hearing all this buzz about the botanical garden's Christmas light show. Naturally, we had to see it for ourselves. Our first attempt in 2020 was met with rain and an understandable cancellation. Fine, no big deal. Fast forward FOUR YEARS, and we finally make it. A night of magical lights and Christmas spirit is right around the corner—well, that is, until our friends accidentally bought tickets for the Athens location instead. Now, you’d think we’d get a little sympathy or, you know, some basic customer service, right? Nope! We go up to the guest services desk (which is clearly staffed by people who missed their calling as DMV agents), and they tell us, “Sorry, nothing we can do. Buy new tickets.” Because that’s totally fair. It’s not like they had clear proof of the mistake or anything. But sure, let's make them fork out more money for a light show that’s literally a 30-40 minute walk. It’s honestly mind-blowing how hard they were willing to dig their heels in over this. I mean, it’s just a Christmas light display, not Fort Knox. You’d think these people were guarding Aunt Jemima’s secret recipe or the guest list for a Diddy party, with the way they were acting. In the end, we sucked it up and bought the second set of tickets (because they’re cheap, whatever), but really, it’s about the PRINCIPLE. What happened to customer service? As for the lights? Mediocre at best. They looked like someone’s 8th-grade science project gone wrong. We spent the whole time cracking jokes about the top-level security and how well-organized the whole thing was (spoiler: not at all). So, to anyone planning to visit: don’t forget to get insurance for your $15 ticket. Because if you make a mistake, you’re going to wish you had it. And seriously, staff, take those sticks out of your rear ends. Your job isn’t that...
Read moreI pretty much never leave reviews but this was such an exceptionally bad experience for no good reason. We bought tickets for 8pm, showed up at the remote parking at the school at 8:10 where we were refused access to the shuttle because it stopped at 8:15 (mind you it still wasn't yet 8:15). The shuttle still had to make rounds back and forth to bring people to the lot, we just weren't allowed to ride the EMPTY shuttle. When we decided to bite the bullet and pay $20 for parking, we were told by the parking attendant that we could get a voucher for another night at the front desk. Spoiler: The front desk has no idea what the attendant was talking about. They said "you can go through I GUESS, but you have be out by 9". No a single person was surprised when the lights started shutting off at 8:55. And all this would've been a mild annoyance if any of the information was posted on their website. The info on the website is from 2023 and their Instagram hasn't been updated since June. No where on any platform do they say the shuttle stops at a certain time. Buried in a weeks old Facebook post they mention the end time for the lights. It's 2024, updating a website is the bare minimum of effort. Better make sure to get ticket insurance and show up 30 minutes early for this 20 minutes...
