This business is a complete circus 🎪between offering you 5% value for your items (illegal price gouging). Not only do they not follow industry standards but the employees are trained to low-ball you and look up the lowest value possible on faulty websites that they randomly feel like picking that day. I previously made a review and the owner looked up my personal information in her system and called me,she told me she would handle her staff and apologized, two days later I took some shoes that were brand new in for loan , they were selling the same pair in a less valued colorway and abused for 1400$, the rude gal behind the desk had the audacity to offer me 10$ loan on them! I went back a month later to purchase some items that I defaulted (no fault but my own I understand business they gotta make cash)but the kid behind the desk flat out lied to my face several times about current values ,he then attempted to sell me my own fishing gear back above market brand new pricing, I had to look up the values myself and show him, his co worker stepped in because i was getting frustrated but the fact he does that to other customers who are in a bad position is extortion ,do not support a business that blatantly wishes to disrespect its customers and capitalize on others hard times, this place does no longer care about the community, a literal parasite to our area *Beware if you want your hard earned items valued properly this is not the place, I did a test last week took some of the same items to another place down the road got quoted 4x the amount, if you are in a bad position financially this place is not the answer, they charge more interest then I Believe what is legal.

I got a 90 day loan on some silver. Before the 90 days was up, I received a text message from A1 saying your loan is due and to manage my payments by downloading their app. I downloaded the app and paid off my interest (at least I thought). I went back in a week later to pick up my item. I was required to pay the full amount of my loan plus the interest again. Apparently, all I did was extend my loan when I downloaded the app and made a payment. I asked them to credit my account the $50 for the three month extended service I did not use. It was escalated to upper management and they offered me a partial in-store credit. I asked if there was anything else they could do. I was told I would receive a call from upper management. 3 days later and still I have not received a phone call from upper management nor credit to my account. There is about 5 pawn shops within 2-3 miles along 99e, and A1 is without a doubt the best. They not only have a great selection and great prices, but the staff are so friendly and helpful. Particularly Alex and Laura. (Im pretty sure Laura was her name) They are willing to have conversation, and help people in an understanding and meaningful way. Sometimes in the pawn industry you get employees that are bitter and dismissive, due to the struggles such as dealing with shady characters and hagglers constantly barading these places, but these two were amazing.
