The Sprecher Brewing Tour is an awesome Milwaukee activity to do with the whole family! Beer Garden For the first time we went to the Sprecher Brewery for the brewery tour since we were in the area for lunch at Solly's Grille and it was a great experience. It's important to note that you will not see production going on during the tour because as our guide mentioned it would be very loud & wouldn't be as informative since you wouldn't be able to catch everything pointed out. We got there a bit early which is a good idea it turns out because when you check in they give you your bracelet that has the beer sample tabs that you need to sample. They guide you to wait in the beer garden where the samples are. The beers are good and they seem to have a beer for just about any taste on tap to try. They give you a pint glass that you get to take home and it's a great experience. Kids The kids, under 21, also are included and they get a cup to get samples as well for the craft soda they brew. According to our tour guide about 50% of all Sprecher sales are the Root Beer and when you include all sodas it's about 75/80% of all their business. Soda samples are unlimited so the kids can try sodas and have as much as they want. There were a couple of kids on their tour and our tour guide did great answering the questions that they had about the sodas they make Snacks/Gift Shop The snack bar has some good food including a giant pretzel that was the size of my hand as shown in the picture. It comes with a mustard sauce that I wasn't a huge fan of but we paid the extra to add cheese as well & that was really good with the pretzel. The gift shop has plenty of sodas, beers, and merchandise to try out. They do have some cool t-shirts and pretty much all the soda and beer offerings that you can get in a single form if you don't want a huge pack or anything like that. Tour The tour was awesome! Very informative and while it only took about 20 minutes to do, our tour guide explained the whole process to us which was very interesting to learn about. I highly recommend visiting here and the tour!

We made a last minute visit to Sprecher Brewing while in Milwaukee. We are no strangers to Sprecher as we went to Marquette in the mid ‘80’s and started going on Sprecher tours when Randy Sprecher himself was brewing the beer and giving the tours in the original Menomonee valley location. It’s great to see the success of Sprecher and to see that “hard work can indeed pay off” as it did for Randy. All those $1 Saturday tours (that’s what it cost in 1985) to beer drinking college students paid off. We all supported Sprecher as we got jobs and money! This was a fun tour. Great to see the facility and as importantly to taste the beers and soda. Michele our tour guide did a great job and we enjoyed her tour and explanations. Unfortunately - Not nearly as intimate as the original tours - when Randy would nearly give you the recipe for each beer he brewed. But given their growth, far better than a tour at Miller Brewing! Well worth it and we would recommend it. Highly suggest making a prior reservation for a tour. We got lucky and got onto the tail end of a tour ready to launch. But normally they are full on the weekends and walking in and getting on a tour can be a challenge. If you are not a drinker, go with the non-alcoholic beverage tour option and drink soda or share the beer tastings with your partner. A full adult tour gets you unlimited access to soda’s as well as 4 pints of beer and a Sprecher glass. The gift shop is also wonderful. Full of products and all the flavors they brew. Best selection of Sprecher beverages you will find in one place. It’s worth a stop - even if not taking a tour. You can see the gift shop, tasting area and a portion of the brewery all for free. Or grab a beer and some food while sitting in a cool atmosphere. We loved it. Way to go Randy. Glad you got your “payday” from the new VC owners who will make your brand even bigger and also worldwide.

Fantastic Family Fun at Sprecher! We visited the Sprecher Brewery for the factory tour mainly for the kids—and it did not disappoint! From start to finish, the experience was fun, welcoming, and totally kid-friendly. Our tour guide was awesome—super knowledgeable, funny, and great at keeping both kids and adults engaged. The tour was the perfect length and gave us a cool look behind the scenes of how Sprecher makes their famous sodas and beers. The real highlight for our crew? The tastings afterward! Unlimited soda samples were a HUGE hit with the kids (and let’s be honest, the adults too as well as the 4 free beers dor the adults!). Such a great value and so much fun getting to try all the different flavors—though the root beer is still the reigning favorite. We also ate in the taproom, and the food was way better than we had expected - the giant pretzel is just that -GIANT! Enough to feed 3 people for sure - served with delicious Sprecher mustard and cheese - it's definitely worth getting. If you're looking for a fun, affordable outing with kids (and maybe sneak in a beer or two for the adults), the Sprecher tour is definitely worth it. We’ll be back!

From the moment Jeff welcomed us to the Sprecher Brewery tour, it was clear we weren’t just in for a walk-through of tanks and taps—we were about to be swept into a sudsy symphony of storytelling, humor, and hops, masterfully conducted by a man who embodies the spirit of Sprecher itself.

Jeff isn’t just a tour guide. He’s a raconteur, a wit-slinging brew bard, and a walking encyclopedia of Milwaukee’s proud brewing history—delivered with just the right balance of reverence and irreverence. With a voice that could bottle enthusiasm and a comedic timing sharp enough to crack open a cold one, Jeff guided us through the hallowed halls of Sprecher like a seasoned captain on a frothy voyage through flavor and folklore.

Each stop on the tour was a performance, rich with detail and delivered with an infectious charisma that made even the most complex brewing processes feel like compelling plot points in a beer-fueled adventure novel. He wove together tales of German brewing tradition, Sprecher’s rebellious roots in craft soda, and the alchemy of malt and yeast with the flair of a master showman and the authenticity of someone who truly loves what he does.

And let’s talk about his humor—sharp, dry, never over-poured. Whether cracking a joke about the fermentation tanks having better temperature control than his apartment, or likening hops to the spice rack of a beer chef, Jeff had the entire group in stitches without ever distracting from the depth of information he shared.

By the time the tour ended and we were raising glasses of Sprecher’s finest, there was a unanimous sentiment among us: we hadn’t just learned about a brewery—we’d experienced it. Jeff didn’t just give us a tour; he gave us a memory, bubbling over with laughter, knowledge, and the warm fizz of feeling like you were in the hands of someone truly special.

If Sprecher’s beer is the body, Jeff is undeniably its soul. Cheers to a guide who turns grains and barrels into pure gold. Well...
