I have been going to golden nails since pre Covid. I go semi regularly in the winter and every three weeks in the summer. The time before last I had a less than stellar experience but I blew it off and returned because everyone has an off day and I have overall had great experiences there.
The next time I returned I had my typical enjoyable experience and left feeling great. Today however has me so disgusted I will not return.
I blinked and my mani and pedi were done. If that is what you can call it. Today my typical 2hour mani pedi was done within an hour. I have never been so rushed in my life. When I arrived the typical host was not around to greet so I began looking for colors. A few minutes later The owner came over and helped me which was great. I sat in a chair next to two women who were together and shortly after another woman was sat beside me. I was asked about my color choice by the nail tech and chose the standard pedicure. It was obvious the nail tech had somewhere to go because she was rushing. Mind you it was 5:30pm this evening - a Thursday. I didnât say much when I first realized she was rushing. Things get busy I get it and I donât mind a bit of a shortened experience from time to time.
However aside from my polish looking nice my feet feel like trash. After she painted my toes and barely slapped some lotion on my feet she shooed me to the door. That was it. That was my entire pedicure. No leg massage. No towels, No oils or Lotions. She literally slapped roughly a quarter size of lotion of my heels and called it good. When I explained that I had also wanted a manicure and asked where I should go for that - assuming a different nail tech was going to do the manicure as often happensâŚ.She barely acknowledged me and pointed to a chair between two women who were sitting there actively having their nails worked on when I arrived. I sat down and Blinked and she was putting oil on my hands and asked âdo you want polish or just leave them like thatâ. I replied âoh a clear polish would be nice thank youâ. She told me to wash my hands and when I returned she asked me to pay. After signing my receipt she proceeded to slip two coats of clear on my hands and rush me to the dryer. When I walked to the dryer I noticed all of the women I sat by for my pedicure weâre still sitting in their chairs with their feet being worked on and one of the two women getting their manicures when I walked in the door was still sitting in her chair as well.
I will say at this point I was bothered that I was rushed to this extent but I chose not to say anything as I had already paid and it was obvious they were busy. However When I got to my home I noticed there are lines of hot pink gel from my previous manicure and dirt under my fingernails. my toes are painted nicely but my heels feel rougher than when I sat down. They look rough and dry. Seriously I couldâve done a better job using my own left hand. I literally have to start this whole process all over again tomorrow.
No matter if I call to complain and they try to make it right this was a complete waste of my time and I feel robbed of my $90! I called but no one answered as it is now 7:45pm. No one should be this rushed and left with this experience regardless to how busy they are
If your too busy tell me and Ill come back another time. This is literally so disgusting that I have to do my own nails after paying someone $90! And to walk out with my heels in this condition! Omg seriously Iâve never had such a trash experience as a repeat customer and I will never ever go back! If I could rate it...
Read morewow i had a sad experience here. i had quinn do my nails yesterday and the way she kept an attitude throughout the service was very unpleasant. she would throw my legs around while getting my pedicure, not gentle when cutting my toe nails, i was bleeding and expressed the pain and she couldnât care less. she scrubbed my feet so hard and fast, it was very uncomfortable. when she did my fingers, she was again throwing my hand every time and was so rough when filing them it was scraping on my skin. iâm a tough girl, but iâve never had anyone do things so rough. iâve also never had a nail tech that really didnât care about their work. she was being lazy and trying to finish me quick. i got embellishments on my nails and she was struggling to glue them on with the normal clear gel they use so she gave up quickly and used acrylic to put them on top of my red polish, it looks really janky and they werent applied properly. theyâre sticking up and grabbing onto all my clothes, hair and skin, when i use my hands đ. very sharp. later that night theyâre already broken and fallen off, feels like the nails could fall off pretty soon too. the boss tried to have them fix it but they just wanted to remove the work they did and have me go home after being there for 3 hours and paying $145. i appreciate the bossâs efforts in trying to fix them and i know employees donât always define a business. i am disappointed with how my time was spent there, and wonât go back. im sure this place might just be better with simple applications and styles. but i wasnât satisfied with quinnâs service for the day. maybe she was having a bad day but regardless, she should treat customers better. also, 2 other ladies did my friendâs nails, and they were both pretty lazy with the job, acrylic and nail polish all on the sides of the nails. not sure what was going on...
Read moreI have been to this location a few times with a friend. My friend and her mom have been going to this place for years and the owner always remember her. Today was my first time going there alone and it started off good, my nail technician was nice and did a great job doing the dipping powder. I did have to refile a bit after to get my nails a little more straight, but that doesn't bother me. What made my experience not the greatest this time around was when I was paying. My technician asked if I was paying with cash or card and I said card. I also had a "punch card" they are suppose to sign for each time I come and the owner gave me a $5 coupon. She seemed confused and annoyed that I had those both and asked where I got them. I said the owner gave them to me. She rolled her eyes and took the coupon and signed my card. I also feel like I got over charged. Unless the prices went up, I remember my manicure with the powder being $32 last time and this time it was $40. I just paid it, because I was so disappointed to go from a pleasant experience to an attitude that made me not want to come back.
UPDATE: Decided to give this place another try. Had a great gel pedicure, lasted a month! Gel manicure by the owner lasted 1 week. She was very distracted and I had to refile my nails after the apt. I was a little frustrated, but they were very busy. A month after that, made another apt for 1pm, for a mani/pedi. Got there, waited 30 minutes with my feet just soaking. No one came to give me an update/eta. Called another salon that could get me in right away. So I left. Definitely not giving this place a 4th chance. Lesson...
