Started coming here 'small business Saturday' November 2023 and be frequenting ever since. It's got a niche quirkiness that is enjoyable. This is not your chain coffee shop, but the quality rivals or beats chains and competes with other independents. It's now Feb 2024 when I'm writing this. Drinks have been consistently good and I keep trying their new items. Never been disappointed. I will take their recommendations for new items. Food is generally good, most if not all made on-site I have learned. Sitting in the front window observing while enjoying or journaling I've noticed, regulars get the banter of a local establishment from all 3, and the more functional in and out customers can count on a consistent cheery greeting. I appreciate the positive attitude I've experienced here. Part of the quirkiness is the parking, there is plenty but most is not directly in front of the store. Seating is limited in the shop but continues into the common area of the building with decent space and nice morning sunniness. Restrooms are in the common building area on second floor, and there is an elevator for those needing assistance. I'd encourage trying it, and enjoy the discovery of food, drinks, local art being sold, and the unique building/setting they have. It's definitely not cookie...
Read moreI have been looking for a place that has: a) good coffee, b) good whole bean coffee to buy, and I found it.
I went to Triple D Espresso for the first time today and it was great. The owner was super friendly and made me a really good cup of coffee. It was so good I went back and ordered an espresso just to try it (I don't normally like espresso) but had to try it. Let me tell you, the beans make a huge difference. It was delicious!
Afterwards I talked to the owner for probably 10 minutes about their roasting process. They didn't have any other customers at the time, so he walked me through the whole process and showed me how their roaster works. He even invited me back during the week to watch the roasting process live.
Finally, I ended up buying some whole bean coffee and ended up making a cup of coffee with it later in the day. Again, the quality of the beans and the roast was amazing.
The coffee menu is priced around what you'd pay at any other coffee shop, and the whole beans are a little more expensive, but well worth it for the extra quality.
I'll definitely be going back. I'd recommend trying it, even if it doesn't become your regular daily coffee spot, it's worth understanding what amazing fresh roasted coffee tastes like compared to chain...
Read moreEdit (7/10/24): Not going to lower my review just yet because I still love this place but wanted to update here since my recent espresso experience was strange. Order the quad shot espresso yet got a cup with around 8 oz of liquid and I wish doesn't make sense for quad shot. Pair this with the fact that there was no crema whatsoever and the flavor was very mild makes me think this was brood at 3 or 4 bar pressure instead of 9 bar. Not sure if their machine is in calibrated or they just misheard my order but going to go in again and talk to them later before I lower my review. Everything else in my original review still stands.
One of the only coffee shops in existence that doesn't force a tip screen down your throat when you pay. That being said, tip these folks if you have cash because they deserve it.
Love Triple D, a small family run espresso shop that serves damn good coffee at damn fair prices.
One of the few coffee shops in the state that I get plain black espresso at because they know how to actually pull a good shot. Not acidic, not burnt and smoothe smoky beans that aren't like eating a tart fruit bowl.
If you actually like coffee for coffee sake, don't...
