Waste of a day off. Drove 35 minutes and paid $16 dollars to park (where the workers greeted our dog as we paid) and then hiked all the way down the beach only to find the dog area we had visited just last year is gone and a cop on a four wheeler handing out tickets the moment a dog touches the sand. We didn't see their tiny signs driving in and would have expected someone would say something or have a sign up before taking our money. Was also disturbed to find that in lieu of the new rules people were simply leaving their dogs in cars in the hot sun, which probably should have been a priority over ticketing dog owners. Would have gone to the regular dog beach had their website been updated with the new rules which state dogs may only be on the beach before 11am and after 5pm. Super...

I can't not love it. Lived in Grand have for 40+ years. Things have improved over the years. They have large bubble tired wheelchairs and paths so even elderly or handicapped people can visit the beach or the most awesome Pier/lighthouse arrangement on the West Michigan coast! The city is down the street, beautiful downtown. If you're driving, try a mystery drive and see the pride the locals take in their homes, and how clean the city is. It's a wonderful place to visit, and fantastic place to live. (My son and family told us they were looking for a place in Grand Haven because of the school district, so we sold him our house. The elementary school and intermediate school are two block away. They're the same schools my son went to. We moved up...

We recently visited Grand Haven Beach, and it was truly a beautiful experience. The Red Lighthouse with the long pier provided stunning views, and we thoroughly enjoyed our walk along it. On the other side, we noticed many boats, canoes, and people enjoying sightseeing, which added to the lively atmosphere.

However, one concern we had was the number of bicycles on the pier. With so many people walking, it felt a bit unsafe at times. We believe that to protect the health and well-being of those enjoying a peaceful walk, bike riding on the lighthouse pier should be restricted.

We encourage the Grand Haven Park authority to consider banning bike riding on the pier to ensure a safer experience...

📍ARTURO’S TACOS, Grand Haven, MI Real ones know that this has been my favorite authentic Mexican spot since middle school. Whether you’re quickly driving through grand haven, or here for a beach day, you can stop by and enjoy top notch Mexican cuisine. This place never disappoints. 11/10 spot. #foodreview #mexicanfood #foryoupage #foodies #summer #lunch #michigan

📍Lucky Sushi Cafe, Grand Haven, MI. 🍱 Hidden right off robins road is a great little sushi place with even better lunch time deals. This place has been on my weekly rotation for years now, it’s so good. Nothing beats that lunch time price!! I believe it is offered different times, Monday through Sunday. If in town, definitely add this place to your list. The menu is huge! Even a great snack to take to-go for @ the beach. And don’t forget to check out Lucky Tea next door for a great variety of refreshment’s! 🧋 #foodreview #sushi #foryoupage #foodies #summer #lunch #michigan #fyp #beach #westmichigan

The Grand Haven City Beech is usually deserted during the school year, and is a great place to take kids to run, play in the sand, and unwind before bed. Beautiful sunsets can be seen here as it sets over the water, and offers a great view and walk to the Grand Haven pier and lighthouses. Enjoy the nearby geocaching opportunities and swim in the lake. Be aware of the rules and limitations that exist during red flag wave conditions. God bless and enjoy the great creation that the Lord has blessed us with!
