I really don't want to write a bad review, but I am so disappointed with the hair salon, the stylist and devastated about my my bothced cut that I have to. At this time I STRONGLY suggest reading other reviews about Ulta Salon and checking into a different salon. I paid $55 for the special conditioning cut and in return I was left with a clump of greasy (I mean stuck to my head, like I haven't washed my hair in several weeks grease and oil) scalp that could only be corrected by washing it out. I asked for the same layers and style I had. I also showed her a picture of my original cut. I now have all over, unblended lengths where 1 layer is Several inches shorter than the other layers (It looks ridiculous!) I also have different uneven, uncut strands. I should have shown her 1" (instead of assuming she knew how much an inch is). I was told she thought 1.5" would be a beneficial amount to cut the unhealthy hair and I trusted her opinion. Instead I was left with 2.5" or a little more cut off the bottom 2 layers and at least 5-6" off the top layer. I called to see about how they could correct my cut and I was told I will need to wait two days before they can possibly get me in. However with my job schedule I may have to reschedule this appointment as I told her I really can not do any other times, but I am the one who is willing to try. I am hoping that they can fix and blend the layers. (Which unfortunately most likely means even More hair cut off!) They can't replace the length they took from my hair, so again I STRONGLY suggest, with the salon cost they charge, the lack of professionalism and the botched cut I received, choose a Better salon. At this point I feel Great Clips would have been a better option. (No offense directed towards Great Clips as they have given me a Much Better cut! Only referencing the huge price difference. $17 or $55, you choose!) I would not recommend the stylist I used and will update review if I have better results with a new stylist. This was my first and only visit, but the first impression is most important to me for a salon cut. I gave 1 star because in 45min she destroyed a style and length it took me a year to achieve. A Year! This stylist can walk away with a smile and a paid haircut after a cut disaster, but the client is faced with 6 weeks+ and in my case 6 MONTHS of repair to fix the damage a bad cut can cause. I went in for my 1st ever color match a couple weeks ago. having used concealor and foundations that were never the right shade, I was desperate for products that were right for me, and could help me feel confident in my own skin.
within a minute or two of being in the store, I was already in the color match chair. and the specialist that matched me was absolutely phenomenal. she was thorough, taught me SOOOO much about makeup, prioritized my request for budget-friendly, high coverage, quick application products, and so much more. she never seemed rushed, answered all my questions, and encouraged some products she thought might be helpful, but never pressured me into buying anything I didn't want or didn't have the money for.
when I went to the checkout, I was completely shocked by how low my price was. I expected my price to be double- considering the quality & amount of products I was purchasing.
I don't anticipate needing to go back to ulta for a while- because I now have the "perfect" products I wish I would've gotten years ago- but when it comes time for me to restock, ulta will DEFINITELY be my go-to.

Read moreI placed an online order with Ulta, because my store didn’t have both my shampoo and conditioner or else I would’ve gone in there and this whole thing wouldn’t be an issue.
My mobile app has my CORRECT address showing when I place an order, once I received the confirmation email it shows an INCORRECT address (one from many years ago that I removed from the app). When I called in to customer service they said that there was NOTHING that could be done to change the address, mind you this was the next morning as I placed the order late at night. So they offered to cancel the order which I said to do because they would not even get me to a supervisor on the phone.
The next day I get an email saying my order shipped, to the WRONG address even though the lady on the phone said she would cancel it.
Now they are saying they cannot do a thing until the order is returned, even though their system caused the problem in the first place.
I am done. This is not the first time I’ve had an online problem and clearly Ulta could care less about customer service because everything was “We can’t, we can’t, we can’t.” Amazon and Walmart have better...
