Mi Mexico — Restaurant in Grand Junction

Another Mexican restaurant and was nice to see things done a little differently here. For starters in addition to the regular salsa, there was also a second bowl of mushroom salsa.

I switched things up tonight and didn't get my usual triple threat Fajitas. Instead I ordered the Camarones Hauchil as I wanted something fresh and light tasting but still have a kick and a source of protein.

This fit perfectly with a whole lot of shrimp along with peppers 🌶 and onions 🌰 . The usual lime and cilantro a few orange 🍊 slices fir a nice garnish. The initial dip which was the center piece was very runny and lackluster. They did bring me a new bowl with a much better, thicker consistency. Problem is it still was pretty bitter and a couple degrees hotter than what I expected.

All in all a pretty nice atmosphere and experience. It was just a little taxing trying to flag someone down when you needed something. Having to repeat things and still have them go into auto pilot. Pepsi No Ice or Pepsi Sin hielo means exactly that.

Otherwise the place is well kept up and cleanliness is good. Would have no issues returning for another meal...

Had a delicious authentic Mexican meal. I made a reservation and the hostess was very professional and super friendly. They work as a team, so we had multiple people checking on us to make sure we were taken care of. I was very happy to see that most of the diners were Latino. I knew I had chosen wisely.

I chose combo 20, I think, which had a chile relleno, enchilada, and taco served with refried beans, coleslaw, and rice. It was amazing!! I really liked that you have the option of substituting black beans or pinto beans for a healthier option. I really enjoyed the mushroom salsa!! I had never seen or heard of it and it was really wonderful.

I had a delicious drink that I forgot the name of. The chile relleno was the best I have ever had. Most Mexican places charge a huge premium on any combos that include a chile relleno, but not here!!

The drink menu and the food menu is very lengthy. So you should have no problem finding the perfect meal!

It is a fantastic place to take your family for a night to remember the restaurant If, you love Mexican food, you will love this restaurant, the food flavor is excellent, It tastes like a good Mexican food flavor should taste, go ahead and see for yourself the prices are right for the kind of food and amount you get, the menu is full of goodies to much to mention, If you go there you will see for yourself, we had a nice burrito with rice and beans,the sauce on the burrito was delicious, but before the meal you get chips with what it tastes like taco sauce , very delicious, so if you love a great Mexican flavor food place , you can't go wrong choosing this Mexican restaurant for your next out this world meal, I will highly recommend this restaurant to my family, friends and the rest of you that are trying to find that good place to take your family to enjoy a fantastic Mexican food.
