FERAL - New and Used Outdoor Goods — Attraction in Grand Rapids

I can’t praise Feral enough. We discovered this gem while on vacation in Denver and were delighted to meet Jimmy and hear he was moving to Grand Rapids to open up shop in our great city. What Feral offers is something that’s been a big need everywhere, not just Grand Rapids but I’m delighted they chose us. Quality outdoor gear is very pricey but there are a lot of high quality used products in people’s closets waiting to be put to use. Feral does a great job giving life to those products. While in Denver, I stumbled upon a some legit Black Diamond hiking poles that are ultralight and fold use really small (and retail new for the proce of a mortgage). I bought them for such a great price and those babies go with me on all my adventures. I was excited to see that my husband was able to get a cycling jersey in his size at the Grand Opening in GR. new jerseys are super pricey and to find one used and reasonably priced was excellent! I’m looking forward to the next treasures we find at Feral to help us on our outdoor adventuring.

I can't believe how amazing this store is! The commitment to kindness first is something I've never before encountered and I so hope this community reciprocates! I went yesterday for the first time and was honestly stunned that no one followed me around hanging over my shoulder as happens in other used clothing stores, and when a human did make an appearance, she was friendly and authentic, not schmoozy or watchful. Another bonus, for whatever reason, the store didn't SMELL like all other used clothing stores! They had amazing prices. A Columbia winter coat that was in excellent shape and would have easily cost $200 new was about $40! I got some nice Athleta linen pants for $12 and a pair of Patagonia corduroy pants for $22! EDIT: I bought a backpack about a month back and I still hadn’t put my water bottle in the left side pouch and the first time I did, it burst the elastic. Some kind of defective stitching, it happens. Because of their very nice rewards system, they were able to track my purchase and I was able to get a new one. Took less than ten minutes.
