The issues began when we called to place our order. When it was all said and done, we had called 5 times off of two different phones and had been hung up on twice and had no response the other 3 times. We finally gave up and decided to place the order online. After placing the order, we headed out to go pick up our pizza and breadsticks. The order was a regular topperstickx and a small pizza with ranch as the sauce and pineapple and sausage as toppings. The website said the order was ready, so we called for our “speedy curbside delivery” as specified on the website. Again after calling twice and being hung up on twice, I decided to go inside (during quarantine mind you). There were about 5 or 6 customers sitting on the couches, not social distancing whatsoever. When I got to the counter, the three workers were VERY clearly intoxicated and completely disorganized. When asked for my order (i stood at the counter for approximately 2 minutes before anyone acknowledged me), the worker was basically incoherent. He gave me the order of breadsticks and turned around to continue on with what he had been doing. When I mentioned to him that I had pizza with the order as well, he clearly had no clue about the second part of the order, and proceeded to find what seemed to be a random pizza and slammed it onto the counter asking “is this one it?” He opened the box and it was definitely not a small, had red sauce on it, and had ham, pineapple, and sausage. I said, “no, I did not have ham on my order” because I was so overwhelmed by the entire situation I did not notice the size or sauce being incorrect. The worker basically said “oops sorry” and walked back towards the back of the store. As he walked back, I noticed that there was a FULL BOTTLE OF LIQUOR sitting right on the table behind where the completely ordered were sitting. The entire experience was completely unprofessional and I am extremely disappointed in the way business is being handled...
Read moreWould rather rate in negative stars. TERRIBLE “BUSINESSS” and would never recommend, due to service. Ordered pizza at 6:53pm on a Friday. I understand it’s a peak time and was expecting a wait. After 2+ hours of waiting I called EIGHT times to try to see if I could just arrange to pick up my order or cancel, we were leaving town and couldn’t wait much longer. Never was able to get through, never received a call from the delivery guy at any point. Was still charged for the order. I was finally able to get through on Sunday. The man who answered (John, I believe) told me I would need to call back tomorrow to talk to the owner Nate. I said, well you never asked what I was calling about - and he then finally proceeded to inquire. After I told him I never received my order but was charged, he said “cancelled orders don’t get charged” and I said “well I did get charged, but does this happen often where I can order from you and not receive any notice that my order isn’t being fulfilled?” His response: “We are open until 3am and people are drunk all the time, it’s not our responsibility to contact you” I joking said, “Oh so your staff is drunk all the time, that must be why I didn’t get my order at 7pm” And he said, “OH MY GOD LADY WE’RE TRYING TO RUN A BUSINESS HERE [inaudible, seemingly inappropriate/derogatory mumbles]” As I tried to respond, click he hung up. He has all my information- before the rude exchange he took it down (maybe) to leave a note. So that’s great. He also said they open sometime between 10-11 tomorrow, apparently they don’t know their hours either. This was my first time ever ordering from Toppers, my roommate orders from here often and I’ve never known her to have an issue, but I’ll be sure to let all my friends know this is one place to NEVER...
Read moreWorst experience I have ever had at Topper's - if I could rate zero stars I would. I ordered a pizza on Uber Eats and chose to pick it up rather than have it delivered. The Uber Eats app notified me that it was ready for pick up at 12:04 am. I went in to get it, and was informed that it wasn't ready, they hadn't started making it, and it would be about a 10 minute wait. The cashier stated "well we didn't say that it was ready" which doesn't even make sense. Someone had to select that it was ready. She asked me if I wanted to wait for it and I stated yes - I had already paid for it. I went outside to wait in my car for an additional 15 minutes. When I walked back into the store, another employee handed my pizza to me. A different employee was in the back, behind the pizza boxes talking about me loud enough for me to hear, going off about how I had an attitude. I had EVERY right to have an attitude - but I didn't get frustrated until I was told my order wasn't even started yet. Even then I was irritated, but respectful. In addition, two of the employees were not wearing masks while preparing orders. The one who handed me my order, and the one who was being rude and disrespectful. It is absolutely insane to me that people working in customer service feel that they can be rude to customers when they're the ones who messed up in the first place. And to not be wearing masks in the middle of a pandemic where it's a LAW right now that anyone inside a business must wear a mask, let alone outdoors within 6 feet of others....this place is a whole mess. I'll be making a phone call to the GM tomorrow as well. I love Topper's, their food is good, but I won't...
