A nicely wooded park with ample seating for picnics. Two pavilions, plus picnic tables in a variety of other locations. Appreciated the proximity of a couple of the tables to the playground, as it made keeping an eye on my daughter very easy. The only downside was the lack of real restrooms and that it got very buggy as the sun went down... However, we're in Minnesota and surrounded by trees, so the mosquitos at dusk were not surprising. Overall a cute place to bring the family!

Great place to stop and have a picnic or go exploring. Paved walking paths. Plenty of parking. Well maintained. Clean. Amazing experience under gigantic pines. Two playgrounds for the young ones, with one just on the other side of the river. Bathroom facilities are outhouses.

Dogs interact with each other. There seems to be a hierarchy. The dogs seem to know and are well-behaved. Owners are fun to talk to and compare notes and breeds. I look forward to it as so does my dog Molly. We go daily and my dog has lost 6lbs do to activity there

Thus park has gone down alot since I grew up. They built a dog park in the park, and it seems like the itasca county doesn't want to have it look nice there's always garbage laying around on the ground anymore. The two playgrounds have been there since I was little which should have nicer parks instead of building a dog park, they should've built a nicer and bigger playground for kids. Nice walk ways just need to walk around fallen trees alot. Over all it's...

Free recreation area, with lots of extras. Love the area, and the openness of the layout. Plenty of room for children to play. Walking and dig park s are both here. Swings, slides, and playground equipment for a nice afternoon with every member of your family. There are grills available for cook-outs, and plenty of outdoor bathrooms, handicap accessible, too. Anytime you want to have a good time, in an outdoor environment, this is the...
