Krema Nut Company — Attraction in Grandview Heights

Nice place, I visited Krema after my usually spot stopped selling the cashews I buy for the holidays. I did a little searching and krema looked like a solid choice, local, with a good reputation. Being unfamiliar with the short north, it was a little awkward finding the place. Google showed it in the alley behind where it is and something else in its place. It's a very nice, quaint shop that I wish I had visited some other time (week before Christmas) as it was understandably very crowded and they had what looked like an off duty officer directing traffic in the parking lot to ease traffic flow. Inside was just as packed and made it difficult to take in everything they had. I managed to squeeze through most of the shop and get a glimpse of a lot of the merchandise but cut it short and grabbed 10 bags of cashews to hand out over the holidays. They were received well and we saved a bag for ourselves. My wife felt they were a little on the salty side, I liked them just fine. Given my brief experience with them, krema will probably be my go to source for gourmet nuts and candies. We drive between Lexington, KY and Cleveland, OH regularly and stop in for Buckeye Crunch and other goodies any time we're driving through when the store is open. It's probably good that it ends up only being a few times each year, otherwise I'd be devouring far more Buckeye Crunch than is reasonable. I also take bags to my family and coworkers because I got them all addicted to Buckeye Crunch too. The truffles are also soooo delicious. This is the best kept secret in Columbus! This is the only place I get peanut butter from because it's creamy and delicious and the flavor is perfect. And only 1 ingredient, which I can easily pronounce! I used to get it 1 pound at a time, but was going through so much I buy their 5 pound tubs now! I also got several coworkers hooked, so they're always asking me to resupply them.

I also have never had a bad snack mix. They're always perfect as a gift or to set out at a party or family gathering.

Finally, the people are awesome. I would be amazed if you find a nicer group of people. You certainly won't get the level of service they provide from JIF or Smuckers.
