Basic Biscuits, Kindness, Coffee — Restaurant in Grandview Heights

I wasn’t sure what I wanted, I only knew I wanted biscuits. I saw the second chance dozen as an option (which was a variety of biscuits) so I figured how could I go wrong! 😇 I placed the online order and then called them to ask for packets of honey 🍯 to which they responded they don’t carry them and only sell bottles of honey. That wasn’t going to work. I got my order and was highly disappointed. No where did I see that the biscuits would be served cold and that warming them or baking them would be necessary. To add to my disappointment, the biscuits were so small they looked like bite sized cookies. They came packaged sealed so that was good but there were only two varieties (cheddar cheese and everything seasoning). I was highly disappointed and will not be trying this again. Full disclosure… I am biased to bee-themed things but this place is just SO CUTE. For a smaller spot, they still managed to have some soft seating, a L-shaped bar along the windows, and tables. All without making it feel cramped.

The service was amazing. The lady at the counter was very sweet and friendly. Before we get into food, I also wanted to call out the self service coffee bar that has a huge assortment of syrups, milk and alt milk options, and hot tea. All for the price of the coffee which is only $4.

I got their featured biscuit sandwich which was sausage egg and cheddar on a cheddar biscuit. Delicious. I also got 3 mini biscuits- plain, white cheddar and blueberry. All amazing.

This place is amazing, there's so much to love. The biscuits are obviously the star and are super fun to try. They have daily changing menu options to keep it interesting. If you're lucky enough to get there when they have cinnamon rolls, it's a must try. Prices can add up quickly... but in moderation, very fair!

I don't know how many people realize that they serve staufs coffee here. They have a reasonable price for the self-service coffee cart and provide some flavored syrups and even non-dairy milks for no extra charge. It's really a great deal. Skip the line at Staufs and just head down to goodale for the same cup! Might as well grab a couple mini biscuits while you're at it.
