Dear La Vie, I wanted to share some feedback regarding my most recent visit to your salon. I've been coming here since around October and have generally been patient, but this experience has led me to reconsider continuing as a client. I always get an acrylic fill, but each time, I’ve noticed issues with my set. On this occasion, another client arrived early at 11:00 AM when their appointment was scheduled for 12:00 PM, seemingly creating a time crunch. As a result, I felt that my technician was rushed to finish my nails. Specifically, the French tips I received have visible acrylic under the clear coat, which could have been addressed better with a nude base instead of clear. Additionally, I had requested a nail repair for just my index finger, instead of applying a new fake nail, acrylic was painted over my natural nail, and I'm now noticing some lifting along the edges. While I truly appreciate the kindness and professionalism of your staff, I've repeatedly left with results that don't align with my expectations, even after providing clear instructions. Regrettably, I will need to explore other options moving forward. Best regards, Cynthia

I visited with an appointment for acrylic nails that I booked through their website. I booked the 9am timeslot so I could squeeze it in before work. There were 3 employees there when I arrived but none were my nail tech and when they brought up being an “early bird” I let them know I was so happy they had a 9am so I could squeeze it in before work - thinking it would signal them to start my appointment. My nail tech eventually arrived around 9:15 and got me started around 9:25. The appointment went okay I guess, although she did stop to eat a snack another employee made for her in a red solo cup and came back to doing my nails without washing her hands. She did nick my fingers a few times as shown in the pictures. I was in a rush to work so I didn’t even really look at the finished product of my nails. When I got to my car I just started laughing, all of the shapes of the nails are different, comparing my pinkies are comical. I’m so disappointed and it’s a shame because we just moved into town from Worthington and I mentioned I’m looking for a new nail salon.

My first time visiting this establishment and I was VERY disappointed! I feel like I went and paid 65.00 to get my toes polished (something I could have done at home) I go get pedicures bc I get a lot of dry, dead skin on my feet and I can not get it myself. I continuously told the guy (Tony, the tech) that he needed to get the skin off my feet. He totally ignored me and did what he wanted to do. He acted like he didnt speak English when I tried to communicate with him which was very frustrating. I was only on lunch for 1hr so I didnt have a lot of time to sit there. They said they had NO fans or dryers to dry the polish on my feet so I HAD to get the gel polish bc they only had a dryer for that.. My whole experience was horrible with the exception of talking to the other tech Ell who seemed very kind. As soon as i can i am going to post pictures of this hot mess that I got done! I feel like I was robbed! Nice place but DONT USE TONY!

I just had the WORST EXPERIENCE at this nail salon. I’ve been going here for quite some time. When I first came I was paired with Anna 🙄. I’m not sure why Anna is employed here because she can’t even remove paint off nails properly without messing them up. Well, she did my nails more than a year ago and completely screwed them up. She put two different colors of dip powder on my nails and they looked awful! She had one nail that she got so frustrated with and couldn’t get the paint to lay straight. All the paint was full of bubbles and just a complete mess! The owner fixed my nails the same day. And Anna has held a grudge since. Nevertheless, I continued to get my nails done at this place quite a bit. Oftentimes (and I do mean often), I’ve had to come back and get a nail fixed that had broken across my nail bed. If the nail tech doesn’t put enough dip powder on it, it breaks. Although they don’t charge to fix them, I still pay with a $20 tip. When I get my nails done, I tip $20 for the service and then I tip them $20 for whomever fixes the broken nail. That’s an extra $40 that I spend each time I get my nails done, paying almost double for the service. Today I booked an appointment to have my nail fixed that broke across the nail bed due to not having enough dipping powder, and received a rude phone call from Anna. She asked what services I wanted and I explained that I had a broken nail. She proceeded to tell me rudely that they were not going to do all of my nails and got to talking about how I didn’t tip another nail tech for correcting an issue recently (the tech didn’t have Zelle so I couldn’t). She was SO rude!!! I went in today and she was STILL rude to me in front of the customers and her boss. Her boss asked her if she would take the paint off my nail until the tech fixing it could get to me and she rudely said no! And proceeded to continue her rudeness. I don’t understand how this woman is employed there because she was nasty and doesn’t even know how to do nails. She NEVER has clients when I’m in there. NEVER! And one day recently she took paint off my nails for a tech and had shaved my nail down that I took forever to grow out!! Now I’m wondering if it was maliciously and purposely. 🤔 She LITERALLY can’t take paint off nails without messing up! This ISN'T her field of work obviously! She’s messy and is always gossiping about someone when I’m in there. When a customer walks out, they get talked about by her. She’s a busy body in everyone business. She loves to get in corner and grab a tech and gossip, like she did today. The boss lady who’s so nice did apologize. It’s so unfortunate that I can no longer come back to this place because I really enjoyed all the other techs. They were always so nice! But this woman just sits somewhere without customers and gossip! She treated me like I was trying to get something for nothing when I pay $20 in tips and $20 each time to fix a nail which is a service that was once priced at $5! She’s really making this place to look bad! The owner should get rid of her! I’ll never set foot back in there as long as she works there. On the website when booking appointments, there is no longer a place to book a service to have your nail fixed. So I’ve had to schedule appointments with the closest thing to what I needed. The owner told me today that I needed to call and book an appointment over the telephone to have a broken nail fixed. When I did try this method, I was refused! The owner also told me that I needed to let the nail techs know to dip my nails thicker to prevent breakage. I did! And the nail tech didn’t do it, hence why I ended up with another broken nail. Some of people don’t like to correct their mistakes nor own up to it. However, I’ve been overpaying for their mistakes because each time I had to get a nail fixed, I tipped with $20.00! You tell me it’s no cost to fix broken nails yet you don’t want to correct your mistakes that I’m paying you for it anyway?!?! So confusing because I’ve been paying you for the broken nail service you say that you don’t...

While Phada always does an EXCELLENT job on my pedicure and dip nails balance, this last time one of my nails broke just a few days after my balance. I could not get over to the salon for several days because of the Christmas holiday and moving into a new apartment and putting my sweet dog to sleep all within the same week. When I DID stop by LaVie, only the male employee and the boss lady were working around 3 or 4pm. I said that I needed a broken nail fixed and advised them that I had indeed paid their salon for said nail job originally. The boss lady repeatedly refused to take the short few minutes to fix my nail, despite my having been promised by Phada in the past that if I had a nail break it WOULD be fixed at no charge and despite the $150-$175 I spend every 2-3 weeks at the salon, and despite the fact that the salon was quite empty as was the parking lot and I had advised that I was leaving town and obviously would not be able to match the dip color elsewhere. When I said I would have to give my business to another salon as a result, not only was there no apology nor protest, the "manager" didn't bother to acknowledge my situation or words AT ALL. I love Phada and the job she does, but between the cost and the impersonal attitude and failure to fix what the salon promised simply to fulfill what I had already paid well AND tipped well for, I'm most likely going to have to find another business to invest my hard earned and non-disposible money into because I pay to have nails that keep me looking presentable and appealing. If I wanted raggedy nails and a crummy attitude I could do my own nails and call my ex boyfriend to talk for free. I suggest anyone thinking of going here carefully consider all angles of the potential consequences of doing business at LA Vie. And I also urge Phada to find an environment to work in that supports the good work she does and fights to keep her customers happy that may only go there BECAUSE of Phada's excellent service and personality and efficiency. If I as a customer have been treated as being so disposable I can only imagine the employees get treated even...

HORRIBLE! A few weeks ago, I went to get dip nails and a basic pedi. They overcharged me, but I wrote it off as a mistake. Note: prices are not listed on a website or anywhere posted in the salon. This evening I arrived at 6:25 (without an appointment) to have the dip polish changed. I was told 40 minutes, so I decided to run out and get a drink and come back after choosing a color. The lady then said they could start me right away. I was sat at a station for over 20 minutes until someone came over and soaked the nails. I sat soaking them for so long (probably 50 minutes) my skin started to hurt. I kept looking around like “anyone?” I finally took off the foils and rinsed my burning fingers. Someone finally came and started filing, but roughly and then walked away again. 20 minutes later, another tech noticed me shifting in my seated and called someone over. At that point I asked her to please just finish removing them and forget the polish or manicure. In summary: walked in at 6:25, walked out at 7:50 and nothing would have even been started if I hadn’t caught someone’s attention. Oh, and they still charged me for the craptastic removal. They could have just told me they were full and I would have come back another time. Instead, I’m never going back. There’s plenty of nail salons in town. Choose...
