SJF Community Park is home to events and festivals. Easter, Holiday in the Park, Fiesta de Pueblo and Ignite The Night are a few held in the park. Ignite the Night is a local favorite, with 7,000-8,000 people attending the event. The fireworks show receives great praise from thousands of people. Get there early and save your viewing spot. Some people are there at 7am for 9pm fireworks! I have talked to the early birds. They say it is the best place to celebrate our nation's holiday. People grill and walk the event with plenty of vendors or booths where one can play games, shop or purchase food. There is always a great band and a ceremony to honor our American flag. There are rides for the kids. If your child wants his/her face painted, get there EARLY! Lines are very long! Safety is #1 for Greenacres. The sheriff's and fire rescue departments always have deputies and fire rescue employees ready to handle any emergencies. Plus, both offices are located on the opposite side of Constitution Way, where one drives to the parking lot for Community Park.
Plus, the fantastic playground is great toddlers-child age! I wish there was one for adults!
The park's fields are used every day by many teams. America's pastime baseball (or softball) can be played on the field.
There are picnic areas and a pavillion throughout the park.
Free tai chi take place kn Wednesdaty evenings at 6pm and Saturday's at 8am (summer) or 9am (winter)
Check out the gorgeous mural that depicts the people of Greenacres. On the mural, there is a lady who walks her dog. She walks her little dog in the park every day. We have become acquainted. Puppy stations are throughout the park, which includes bags for owner dog waste. The park is very dog friendly.
Tennis courts (5 stars) and a racquetball court draw many people throughout the county to this location.
If you are looking for a refreshing walk, follow the path along the river. The path also winds around the back of a school, past an always developing and upgrading water treatment plant. You can choose to turn left and come across 10th Ave North. Or,you can turn right and walk the trail to Pinehurst Drive, which quickly connects you to Freedom Park and Okeeheelee Park.
Two Little Free Libraries are at the bathroom/concession area. Most of the books are brand new. Otherwise, volunteers clean the books for the city's Little Free Library program. Don't forget the Story Walk! New books are replaced quite often. It's a great way to encourage reading and walking at...

Read moreI rented the Samuel community park in Greenacres on Sunday the 18th and when they arrived there was another family with their decoration, when I called the patrol in charge of the pavilions they did not answer, then we asked the Sheriff and they did not answer him either, the pavilion was dirty when it was supposed to be a rental, no one ever assisted us but at the end of the day a relative had rented a pony and they rode in areas outside the park where the patrol told us and now the city informed me that my deposit would not be returned. So I complained about cleaning the rent and they didn't answer me, that is, I felt robbed! I do not recommend the City of Greenacres if you are not willing to...
