Farmers Market — Local services in Greenacres

A small local market (recently renovated) worth visiting if you live in the Greenacres (FL) area.

They don’t have a huge selection of produce but if unless you’re looking for something special, you will find everything you need at very good prices. Some items on sale might be close to the end of their “life”; however, their regular prices still beat the ones of the big supermarkets and there’s plenty of fresh produce.

Besides produce they also offer other products like sauces, breads, oils, pasta and sometimes even homemade mozzarella. I was actually very surprised to see that they carry several brands of imported Italian pasta (and cookies) whose prices are even lower than the ones that you find in big supermarkets for pasta made in USA.

And what I really like about this store is that they sell the gnocchi and tortellini homemade by Mimi’s Ravioli, the Italian grocery store in Hollywood (FL) and the only place that makes the real Italian tortellini with meat filling!

This is a great neighborhood place for your produce...

Great prices for locally grown "somewhat organic" produce. However, beware of the "low low" prices seen at times on their exterior marquis. I was stiffed out of $20 for produce that appeared wholesome (strawberries, cherries, yucca, malanga, watermelon which are expensive by the lb) only to spoil within a day or two. I was very unhappy.

Lines can tend to get long over the weekends or peak traffic times (early morning/late afternoon), otherwise a very economic and guaranteed location to get produce (New York Apples Yum) if you're not in the mood to frequent Publix or Walmart.

Unbeatable freshness & prices, + outstanding customer service!!! Literally all the staff is sooo sweet & welcoming even during this pandemic. Ever since I switched to getting my produce from here than any other grocery store, market, I have saved sooo much money & time! The fruits & veggies seem to last longer from here too but maybe it’s just a placebo effect, anyways I am a 22 yr old college student living w my 24yr old bf & we have finally figured out this food shopping budget thanks to this place!! LOVE...
