I have to assume that residents of Greendale and most surrounding communities are aware how nice this small park really is. It's perfect for a quick stroll around the lake, venturing off to explore some more of the paved trails, or hiking the cliffs if you're more off a thrill seeker. You can cast a line from the long, robust pier, or from multiple other more private spots. I'm not familiar with what types of fish are stocked in the lake but I've seen plenty small ones and would bank on at least some bigger bass, panfish, etc. A great place for multiple types of pictures. Read moreThis is a really nice park. It is quiet, the trails are really well maintained during the not so cold months. During the winter, the paved trails are a little dodgy because of the run off from the hills/bluffs. I would suggest ice cleats during that time.
The lower trails are pretty clear except for the aforementioned ice runoff. The upper trails are not clear, but that just adds to the adventure. I have yet to meet an unfriendly person at this park. It is great for taking the dog for a walk, just please follow the rules and keep the dogs on a leash, and clean up after them.
