Historic Downtown Center of Greendale — Attraction in Greendale

Very nice, cute, quaint hidden gem. The grounds here are kept-up very nicely here, and decorated very well. The park behind the town centre is very well kept as well. People are usually all very nice. The shops are all small family- owned places it seems. This historical site is maintained beautifully. The couple of monuments they have here are decorated and dressed throughout the change of the seasons and holidays. They have a very nice small-town feel and relaxing vibe to the place. There are a couple of restaurants throughout the town centre that I've heard good reviews of. There is a post office and a library too. They usually have a traveling beer garden at the south end of the town centre throughout part of the summer. Also other festivals and town events open to the public as well. Very nice atmosphere. Always a good place to shop or catch something to eat. A wide variety of stores, National Bakery, food places like Joey Girard's, Ferch's Malt Shop, Panther pub or Ricardo's Pizza. National Bakery also makes sandwiches from their deli. In spring Roy Reinman has 42,000 flowers all throughout downtown Greendale every year. He employs high school kids for most of this work. Having someone like Roy owning and mantaining a place like downtown Greendale makes people like us keep hope that there will always be good people in this country and makes us happy that we get to enjoy Greendale as a place on our "1 of our favorite places to...

This place is so peaceful and relaxed. There are beautiful park areas to visit and plenty of cute and unique shops. You could do a cheap dinner date or a fancy meal here, great options.
