My first review (below) just covered their cookies and bakery. Since that time, S&F has just gotten better. Their soups are what I would call quietly fantastic. They have a small whiteboard at the counter which displays their daily soups and I have yet to find one that isn't fantastic. Their breakfast menu is solid, with just enough options to keep you coming back. Even when its busy, the service is prompt. I usually go for their egg dishes, but their French toast is always a great option. Their sourdough bread is hearty. The English muffins are worth grabbing when they have them on offer. The staff is always friendly, and the owners are on site. I keep coming back for a reason. It's no surprise that Sugar & Flour won the JSOnline (professional division) holiday cookie contest three years in a row. They make some of the best cookies in the city, and do it with consistency. The shop is in the heart of Greendale's village, and worth the stop. They usually have around 12-15 options for sale,at the counter, but S&F also makes sugar cookies by the dozen, brownies, and so much more. If you place a custom order, you will not be disappointed. Great people, great cookies. Who could...

They serve breakfast and lunch, with a small limited menu for both. Prices are mid range but a little pricey for what you get. The chicken club sandwich was $9 and was supposed to come with homemade chips, it did not. (I forgot to ask, though)The chicken was a little on the dry side. I am hoping she will change up the menu with the seasons. The soup was very tasty. The bread for the sandwich was theirs and it was tender, had great flavor and held up to the big sandwich. The eggs that we ordered were cooked perfectly, nice crisp bacon and potatoes. You order at the counter and they bring it to you. Limited seating, not ideal for big parties. Cute area with comfy lounge like couches. She has the best cookies in the city! I am glad she is branching out, however it still needs a little tweaking on the actual cooking side. Extremely friendly people. Her ginger crisps, her brown butter almond cookies, the chocolate peanut butter cookies, her original chocolate chip crisp, pretty much all of her bakery...

This restaurant/bakery has tons of potential, however, fell short in some ways. In the restaurant, when we arrived, there were four ladies at a table. We got our food, and the ladies began a conference call at their table. They put a cellphone on speaker, and all four of them commenced to have a long, loud conversation with the caller. I went up to the counter indicating that we couldn't have a conversation at our table, and I was told that the ladies were "regulars," thus, the problem wouldn't be addressed. I stressed that we were new customers, and the activity was very distracting, but again, was told that there was nothing that would be done, even in the future, to prevent that kind of occurrence. The food was okay. The bakery looked fantastic, but when I went up to order, there was only one person handling the food and bakery orders, and there were two people standing in line. I left without any bakery. Needless to say, we're...

Went and 2 weeks ago for lunch with a friend. I got a caramel macchiato and the apple butter French toast. The coffee was great, and the food fantastic. 3 thick pcs of toast, it was like a cinnamon swirl bread, each pc had the apple butter (like a thick apple sauce with chunks of apple), and powdered sugar. It didn't need syrup but it came with a small container. There is limited seating, a couple bench style in the back, tables with chairs (which we personally didn't care for, a little uncomfortable), and bar seating inside. Indoor table seating is a bit tight. I felt a little cramped. There's a covered entryway to the full building, there's a few tables there, but it's much cooler. Order at the counter, they bring you food to you. I didn't try the bakery items, but it all looked amazing! Clean bathroom Overall, I'd definitely go back, but I might get it go vs sitting to eat.

I had a delightful experience at Sugar and Flour Bakery in Greendale! My daughter ordered a cinnamon roll and I got a cup of tea, and both were absolutely wonderful. The cinnamon roll was perfectly baked -- HUGE, soft, fluffy, and generously swirled with cinnamon goodness. The icing was just the right balance of sweet without being overwhelming. My daughter said it was the best she ever had. Loved my cup of tea, and glad I chose the option that the employee recommended, the rose white tea. The atmosphere inside was cozy and inviting, with a charming, small-town vibe that made me want to linger longer. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. I'll definitely be back to try more of their treats, as everything is housemade. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
