Greenfield Public Library — Attraction in Greenfield

Yesterday was our first time at this library but we were here for a birthday party, so I cannot speak on the library itself. The one star review (would be less if there was that option) is for the way my friend and her boyfriend was treated by the staff member who was "in charge" of overseeing the event - we think he was the librarian, but could be wrong (heavy set Caucasian guy, in his 40s). He was incredibly rude to my friend and her boyfriend from the moment they got there until the second we all left. We were a very respectful group of people and left the room in excellent condition after the party was over however, after the way my friends were treated, none of us will ever rent a room from this location again due to the disgruntled nature and actions of this particular member of the staff. It's very unfortunate when situations like this arise. You would think that the guy would know how to talk to people since talking to people is part of his job description, but maybe we were a little too "ethnic" for his liking. Who knows? To the a-hole staff member, thanks for trying to ruin my friend's son's first birthday, we still had a great time regardless of your feeble attempts. This library is a great place to do work, hang out or join in one of the many activities. They have preschool story time, teen movie night, a cribbage club and both adult and teen craft classes. Some with registration.

The library has a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. There are different areas located upstairs and downstairs for both working/talking with a group on a project and quiet work areas. There are many tables and desks as well as comfy chairs to sit and relax.

The children's dept has many books and activities. The library offers homework help for grade schoolers and teens while offering technology help for adults and older adults.

They have an area with books for sale, a copy machine and small area with staplers and other supplies to use. There are many computers available for you to use.

They have parking in front for 5 minutes returns using an automated book return machine. They also have a couple self-checkouts. On the way posted out the wall are many events going on in the library and in Greenfield in general. They have support groups and other groups.

The woman there were so rude. Within two minutes of coming in they had kicked me out for no reason. They told me I was in the bathroom and had locked the door and that’s why they were kicking me out. I had just gotten there when two woman with blond hair and colored glasses came and harassed me. Not only this but when the first woman came to “confront” me she had touched me with her hand during the corona pandemic. Absolutely disgusting. My father is over the age of sixty and is at high risk due to his diabetes. Never in my life had I been so disrespected by someone. Their actions were completely uncalled...
