My wife, our daughter, and I are parishioners at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. We have been to many other Catholic Churches, however, this one is by far the very best we've ever had the privilege of attending! The parishioners are very friendly and welcoming to all people, Catholics and non-Catholics alike. Some people have said that the parishioners here are not friendly because they don't talk to others a lot, but they are simply being respectful of the True Presence of Jesus Christ and those who may be praying. The parishioners are great! As for the Priests, they are amazing! Fr. Coleman is one of the holiest priests that I've ever met. Fr. Carlson is a very holy priest as well but sadly he was moved to a different parish near Charlotte, NC. Fr. Wasswa who took his place is a great and holy priest as well. It is very clear that these priests care about their parishioners and our souls! I very highly recommend Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church to all people, you'll love it. Also, the rest of the staff here are amazing. They are all so very kind and caring. They will help you in any way, shape, or form that's needed! The people of this parish are just as beautiful as the building itself! The interior and exterior of the church are so beautiful, it is breathtaking! Please come join us, we would love to have you and I know Jesus would love to see you in His House! And no, we do NOT worship the Blessed Virgin Mary, we simply give her the honor and recognition that she so rightly deserves, we worship God, the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, the Most Holy, and Blessed Trinity, three Divine Persons, One God! May God...
Read moreMy parents were members of this parish for many years. It is indeed a very beautiful church. Perhaps there is a little too much stone for my taste but it is beautiful nonetheless. However, beauty must be more than skin deep to truly honor Jesus Christ. My dad recently passed away. He always said he wanted to have his funeral at OLG despite not being able to attend church there for the past few years due to health issues. I called to try to arrange a funeral and explained why my dad had not been able to attend in recent years. The person who answered the phone said she had to talk to someone and that she would get back to me. I never heard from her and ended up making funeral arrangements at another parish. This was a real slap in the face to my father, who had been a loyal and generous member of this parish for nearly 50 years. The unchristian behavior of the church staff was very upsetting to me. Although I enjoy the beauty of the church and even like the Latin mass from time to time, I will attend mass elsewhere if I am ever...
Read moreBeautiful and well landscaped property and lawn always is such a pleasant visual stimulus while I make my daily walks by this place of worship on the way to work or one of my local haunts on walker or elam. I have always enjoyed the statues and the brick masonry on display in the churches many awesome structures. I often will stop and sit under the statue in the likeness of Mother Mary and read a book for a bit in the shade of the big oak trees that grow in many spots around the large property belonging to the church. Also I have had multiple friends have children who attended grade school here and they all seem to love it and the parents seem never to feel as if the higher cost of private school or have ever felt as if it was a wasted financial burden. Also attended my first midnight mass here and it was a profound and enjoyable...
