After breaking my iPhone6 screen for the first time (I have always kept my phones with screen protector and OtterBox), I was very pleased that iFixNC was able to repair my screen same day and had very convenient hours for after work and weekend repair. The staff was nice, however the service was slow due to only one technician in there at one time (on a Saturday) - meaning the tech would have to leave my phone frequently to assist other people coming in. What I was told would take 30 mins stretched over 2 hours. Fortunately, I had the time on my hands that day and I was pleased that my phone looked good as new when it was finally completed. Unfortunately, just weeks later the phone screen started to separate from the frame and the screws at the bottom were falling out, causing the integrity to be compromised and the LED in the screen to go out. I called the store to set up a replacement appointment and due to their strict warranty they were unable to replace the screen free of charge even though it appears the screen wasn't installed properly in the first place. So, I was offered a small discount and they replaced the screen again ensuring me that it was fixed this time - the install lasted over 3 hours and I had forked up over $180 over the course of the 2 repairs. Again, only a few weeks later the LED went out again WITHOUT any damage to the actual screen or the tempered glass. I was told that based off of my two visits this was likely an issue with the frame being bent. When I pointed out that I should have been told the frame was bent before investing in screens that were likely to fail due to a bent frame, I was told that they usually just put the screen on if that's what the customer wants because they don't have the capacity to take the time to evaluate the frame. I feel that this is unfair to take money from customers without doing the due diligence to make sure the repair will be sustainable. I would have rather paid for both a screen and frame replacement (or bought a new phone) and have a good opinion of the company for being honest with me than to go without a working phone on two occasions causing me a major inconvenience. I write this detailed review to warn future customers that the attention to detail is low. While there is a highly skilled staff, they seems to focus on volume of repairs rather than quality and customer...
Read moreTo the owner, this has nothing to do with the services you offer, but instead, with the way you run a business. I was an owner for many years and would have done anything to prevent what happened on this past Saturday. Because you are one of the few Amazon drop lockers around, I had a package delivered on Saturday. When I went to pick it up, you were closed at 5:30, which correct me if I'm wrong is not the time listed on your sign or website . Instead a sign read closed at 5:30(no reason given) will reopen on Monday at 10. Wait what you're not going to open tomorrow either. My package is stuck in your store. Maybe I can call to see if someone will help. No answer no answering machine. So when I did show up on Monday at 10:00 as the sign stated, I had to wait till 10:10 until your lovely blued haired employee decided to show up. When asked why the store was closed, she replied that she was the only employee and she was sick. Funny how she knew exactly the time and day she would be better. Sounds like someone needed to do something and nobody was there to cover. Not a smart business move. You cost me a days pay, so I hope I can...
Read moreI went in to see if I could have a scratch on my cell phone (Samsung Note 10) repaired somehow. Unfortunately, that was not possible. I didn't want to get a new screen for a soon to be 4 year old phone, but while I was there I saw a demonstration of a hammer hitting a phone that had this special type of screen protector applied to its screen. I thought that maybe I should get this to prevent further damage to my screen. So I ended up buying it and the nice young lady working there applied it to my phone not once, but twice (some debris got caught between the film and my screen the first time). It came out great and looks like glass. It even filled in the scratch to some extent making it less visible. Keep in mind that this scratch was deep enough for my fingernail to catch it when I ran it across the screen. I'm happy with my purchase, the results and the customer service I received. Would recommend to anyone with a...
