I'm reposting since Google removed due to an edit. This appliance store is basically half thrift store half used appliances. I purchased a washing machine knowing they didn't offer a money back guarantee but rather I would have to drive it back out to them if any issues. A week or so after we got it we noticed it had bad balancing issues.... really bad (started jumping all over the place and banging). It does it multiple times a load sometimes. And yes that's with doing super small loads even, and making sure the clothes are dispersed in the tank evenly. I called the store within the 30 days and they said to make sure the machine is level first, otherwise I could return it and they would test it and let me know what they find. But the problem with that is that it's a 40 min drive for me (I'm in Easley) and they couldn't fix/repair/replace it same day - I would have to drop it off and come back AGAIN another day. Anyway, after I got off of the phone I made sure it was level and it did seem to help maybe a little, but the problem got bad again (or maybe it never got any better, sometimes your mind can play tricks on you lol). I never had time to get back over there within the 30 days so that's my fault, and I am glad the company was willing to repair it. But I do feel a bit ripped off since I paid $250 for something that a couple months later is simply not usable and I have to go buy a new one now, so it's a bit frustrating. Edit (response to owner's reply): after we spoke I checked the support rods inside the machine and they were NOT bent but we're straight as an arrow. Also, I noticed initially when getting the machine here and set up that the back top plastic of the tub had a huge chip in it (see Pic) which leads me to believe this machine was already having a problem when someone traded it in and they just didn't mention it to you. The only way that plastic could have broken off was if it was unbalanced and shaking violently.

(See final analysis at bottom if tldr.) I expected that a supposedly refurbished product would work upon installation, but both the washer and the dryer (which came recommended by the seller) malfunctioned the first day we tried using them. We had discussed the "warranty" in front of the seller, and he did not correct us that they would not take the product back if it didn't work for us. Supposedly they will fix it or replace it if they can't fix it. We'll find out, but I have serious doubts. Update: It can be difficult to get in touch with the store owner. We've never received a call back from the many messages left on the phone. If you call in the morning, though, he may answer. Just keep calling repeatedly. The appliance repair people did not come the day the owner said they were first scheduled. I waited from 8 AM to 3 PM. When I scheduled again with him they came and were very professional. They got the dryer working and the washer at half capacity. Parts have been ordered and arrived to fix the washer and they're scheduled to come tomorrow morning. Will update. They didn't come. They finally came when I scheduled a week later. But the final issues are not resolved. And when I called repeatedly to see if by any chance I could get in touch with someone (since they don't return messages), I got insulted on the phone and hung up on. Final Analysis: These people are liars. Or perhaps just this person: Zach. Supposedly he wasn't working there anymore and the owner Roger had taken over, and yet it seems to always produce the same results. They run out your repair warranty by not responding to calls or ever returning messages. Or they potentially threaten you when you come to their door. Literally. Not a joke. My husband came to complain and he got yelled and cursed at and sent away.

Purchased a fridge and stove March 7,2023 and bottom part of fridge not cooling. Paid $499 for fridge and $399 for stove called on a Friday store manager nicely asked for my information and I was told he would send someone out to look at it since it is still under store warranty “60” days. Called back on the Monday to get a time frame and the guy who picked up the phone states he’s the owner and I was lied to! The owner then goes on horribly, rude and starts calling out other customers names which I have no idea why and stating well they were lied to as well! Please don’t go here just pay the extra and purchase new! Before hanging up the owner stated that it probably was my fault the fridge didn’t work because we were the ones who placed it in our home and I’m like how else would it be delivered you don’t don’t do deliveries but wanted me to bring the fridge back in. No refund but so he can maybe take a look at it. I’m out of $500 and need a new fridge! I’m like who ask someone to bring a fridge back and I live an hour away. So the money it would cost me to rent a uhaul to bring it back and not even sure if it would even be fixed just blows my mind

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! I wish there was a way to give less than one star to this place. I purchased a refrigerator from them and it has been the WORST retail experience I have ever had. The unit I purchased NEVER worked. They delivered the unit, but said I had to wait for 2 hours to plug it in, then 24 hours for it to cool. Nothing after 24 hours. Not the least bit cool. I am convinced they instruct customer's to wait to test the unit so they can make a clean get-away before the customer discovers they have been sold a piece of junk. It took several visits from their repairman over several weeks (with food spoiling the entire time) before they would even admit they couldn't fix the unit, which they claimed was working perfectly before it left their business. Malarkey! I asked them several times to replace the unit since they couldn't fix it, but they kept telling me they wouldn't switch it out until their repair person decided that it couldn't be repaired. After weeks of back and forth, they finally replaced the first non-working unit with another unit that ALSO did not work. The repair person had to come out and work on the "new" non-working unit twice, including having to do actual welding on the unit to get it to function at all. The patch-work repair worked for all of a month before the unit stopped cooling again. Now they refuse to do anything to repair the unit because more than 60 days have passed since I purchased the first unit (which, again, NEVER worked and took weeks for them to switch out) even though 60 days have not passed since they managed to fix the second unit. A 60 day warranty is completely useless when they deliver a product that is broken, then take several weeks to fix/replace it while they burn up any time you have left on your warranty, then insist that the warranty starts on the day they deliver the broken appliance and runs out after 60 days no matter how long it takes to fix the appliance or how long it takes their repair person to determine that it can't be repaired. The person that recommended this business to me is embarrassed that she sent me there to get a refrigerator for my grandmother, and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone who doesn't have money to burn. I understand that that some risks come with purchasing used appliances, but there is no excuse for taking such bad advantage of customers as...

BUYER BEWARE!! We were in need of a refrigerator and working from a budget. We decided to support a local business. Their website states that all appliances are refurbished and dependable. We purchased a refrigerator on a Saturday, and it was delivered that Monday. They told us to wait 2 hours before plugging in. Once it was plugged in it made a horribly loud noise. After calling and talking to them, they stated it was just the cardboard on the back-after we looked at it, we could tell it was a bad fan motor and they still insisted it was cardboard. Their “technician” came out the next day (Tuesday) and said, “your fan motor is bad.” He did not have the part with him and had to come back again the next day. He returned on Wednesday and replaced the fan motor and left. The temperature never got below 60 degrees. We were more than a little upset and had to schedule another appointment for the “technician” to come out on Friday- 3 separate calls that we had to take time off from work to accommodate their schedule. The “technician” stated the compressor was bad and they would replace with one of the same value, but could not get that to us until Saturday- 7 days from the time of purchase. We had to throw away all the food we had plus lost wages from time off at work.

My husband went to the store location and asked to see what refrigerator they were going to offer us and it was dirty, stained and missing the front lower guard. My husband found one in better condition (albeit still below par) and that was the one that was delivered. They delivered on that Saturday and after being hooked up and running for about four hours, our kitchen floor was suddenly flooded with water. The water line had a leak in it. We called and left a message with the “technician” and have not received a call back from anyone from there in over a week.

If you visit their location, you will notice that 90% of the appliances are not plugged in, they do not have water lines hooked up to the refrigerators. They do not test them before they deliver them. Save your time and money and shop somewhere else. This was the worst buying experience we...

I purchased a washer and dryer from Greer Appliance Warehouse almost a month ago now. Some mechanical issues and issues due to sloppy installation were discovered the next day, and after contacting them regarding the issues, I had to wait several days for the repairmen to come. When they did, they didn’t have the tools necessary to complete most of the repairs, and one they informed me they would need to order a part for (this is the only reasonable issue).

After this, I scheduled 3 MORE TIMES for repairmen to show up (all requiring me to stay home from work), the repairmen never showed. This is after my repeated reminder and inquiry calls to get more information and time frames for arrival.

After a total of 4 times scheduling repair visits and repeated calls, my machines STILL have not been repaired. Needless to say, I will never be purchasing anything from them again.

A 60 day return policy does no good if you are so unreliable (and have such poor record-keeping and communication with employees) that you don’t even keep your scheduled appointments within those 60 days.

The discount price isn’t worth the massive imposition it will create later. You’d be further ahead to go elsewhere and purchase a new machine from a retailer.

IN RESPONSE TO REPLY

The reason I am only shown on your paperwork to have one scheduled appointment is undoubtedly due lack of communication between employees.

9/21 I had repairmen come and diagnose the issues. This is the ONLY time after installation I have had a repairmen come. I had scheduled appointments on:

Thursday 9/23 Tuesday 9/28 Sat 10/2 Mon 10/4

All but the last was due to your repairmen Mike not showing up or calling when he stated he would. I did most communication via store phone with salesman Zach, and he can confirm details of my difficulties. Also, I was not schedule for an appointment this Thursday, I was scheduled (as stated above) by Zach for Mon 10/4, and the repairmen yet again did not show up or call. When I attempted to call the store to inquire (during business hours, more than once) no...
